Decreased uterine lining before FET

Hi everyone -
I am undergoing a FET cycle. Transfer date is tentatively set for 1/22/16. I've had some lining issues in the past (last FET in November was cancelled due to thin lining of 4.9). I started a new cycle at the end of December using delestrogen shots, vaginal estrogen, vitamin e, trentnal, and baby aspirin. I've also been doing the homeopathic treatments of pomegranate juice, raspberry leaf tea, vitamin B, and hot water bottle at bedtime. Last week my lining was already at a 6 (which I was thrilled about). This week the lining did not grow, but decreased to 5.1! I am going back for another ultrasound on Friday in hopes that it grows. Has this happened to anyone? Does anyone know why it would decrease rather than increase? Any success stories out there? Thanks for any advice/personal experiences!

Hi! I'm from SAIF and having an FET this month too. Did they do blood work? Did your E2 go down?

My lining magically thinned from 7 to 4 without bleeding and my RE didn't have an answer. I noticed my E2 dropped a little but honestly I think the u/s was off. It pushed back my transfer a week. Our Dx is MFI. Have you considered acupuncture?

Hi there! Thanks for the reply! They did do bloodwork - they said the estrogen level in my blood went up and it's at a good place. I am wondering if it's just measuring error as I know measuring via ultrasound is not always exact. But still concerned that it did not increase in a week's time. I am heading back on Friday for another ultrasound and really hoping for better results. I have not tried acupuncture for lining improvement. I feel like it may be too late to try it for helping this round...?

Hi @fayz22 I did not have a baseline US, but after being on estrogen patches and pills since 12/28 I went yesterday for an US and lining was only about 5mm. I had some spotting initially on the estrace, but that has stopped now. They continued my Estrace and increased me to 2 estradiol patches. I did not have any blood work. Did they make any changes to your meds? The nurse said there "is no rush," but I was wondering how long they try and grow it before they give up for that cycle.

Hi @erinscaren - they did not increase my meds at all. I'm not sure either how long they try to have it grow. My last cycle was cancelled after being on meds for 2.5 weeks. They felt that the protocol I was on (Estrace orally and vaginally) wouldn't help the lining grow after no growth for a week. If they increased your meds, they must feel that you have a good chance of continuing to develop your lining. Hoping the best for you!

Hi all, can I ask what the results of your cycles were? Were they cancelled? I was scheduled for an fet transfer on Monday 1/25/16, but it looks like that will be delayed due to lining issues. I went from 3.8 to 6.9 then just measured at 4.4 today. So disappointing when it looked like everything was on track last week. I haven't spotted or bled and I'm curious how it's possible that it went down so much in a week after an increased dosage of estrace.

I went back on Monday and was a tad over 7mm so they scheduled my transfer for next Tuesday. That does seem odd it decreased that much with no bleeding. What is their plan of action?
