11 weeks and feeling ugly.... Is the glow a myth?

i am starting to wonder if I will ever get the pregnancy glow. The acne, blotchy skin, and cold sores are really making it hard for me to believe that exists. Plus not dying my hair, loving the grey roots look. Anyone else's hormones making them look terrible?? Or am I alone here?

    I hated the way I looked last pregnancy, just washed out and tired.

    It's pretty safe to dye your hair if that would help you. Also, it's winter. It's hard for my pastey self to feel pretty in the winter anyway!

    If dying yournhairnwill help, go for it. As long as your not in a nearly air tight room its safe to do.

    An old wives tale says that if you feel ugly you might be having a girl. Little girls "steal your beauty".  ;)

    Hahahaha I caved in and made a hair appt for next weekend! I'm hoping that helps! But this adult acne has got to go! So embarrassing.

    Several ppl think it's a girl. AND I keep saying she or her! I'm hoping thry are right :)

    I am going to vote that the glow is a giant lie. While pregnant with DD, I never had the glow-- no great skin, fantastic nails, etc. So far, this pregnancy has been the same. I couldn't agree more though, that these breakouts need to die. I'm so over it already!

    My usually luscious red hair is somehow greasy and bone-dry at the same time. I suppose one might say the same about my face, too. Yuck.

    I will say with my son, I didn't have a glow, but my skin was clear and healthy, same with nails, and my psoriasis had clearly completely on my scalp.

    This time? I'm a wreck. Adult acne out of control. It's cystic acne and painful! And my scalp is horrible. I do wonder if it's an estrogen/testosterone thing and maybe this is a girl.

    I felt exactly the same when preggo with my son. No glow, no amazing hair and nails. Let's see what happens this time around, so far I'm just feeling nauseous and cranky lol

    I guess we'll all find out if these are signs that point to a girl in a few weeks! I thank the baby for finally giving my boobs, but I'd rather a clear face at this point haha.
