I have been enjoying my life of firsts since LO came along, but this one? Not so much. LO is almost 13 weeks and I think he might have his first cold.

DH had a cold last week and we thought we did a good job of keeping him away from LO. I had a sore throat for a couple days but nothing too terrible. Today, LO seems a little stuffy and is sneezing more than usual. Coughing too, but nothing alarming. Just a dry cough - almost sounds like he's faking it. Lol! No fever, so yay! Have your babies had a cold yet? Any tricks to make it go away quickly? I am EBF so am hoping the antibodies being passed to him will help him kick this cold's butt.
Re: Baby's First Cold
Make sure to go to the doc if the cough gets worse as you don't want it moving into the lungs.
Having baby sleep on an incline will also help with congestion, you can put a pillow or towels under the crib mattress to raise one end slightly higher than the other. When DS2 had a nasty cold a few weeks ago I actually just had him sleep in the bouncer for a week or so so he could breathe more easily. Bring him in the bathroom with you while you take a hot shower, the steam can also help clear him out. Feed him as often as he will take it, the extra fluids will also help him get better faster. I use baby vicks on LO's feet before bed as well.
