Calm before the storm?

I'm 39w 2d and I've had a lot of cramping (past 2 weeks) & contractions especially this last week up until yesterday afternoon & ever since then, I've been weirdly relaxed and calm and pain free. It's so odd after dealing with intense pain for a while, anyone else experience this? While my contractions & cramps were around, they would intensify for even some hours then of course stop, but nothing ever really developed past that.

    I had that Christmas week. The calm before the storm and I was hoping that it meant something. Here I am sitting here 39wk 4 days. Nothing from there, then went back to cramping and contractions on and off. Been the worse today.

    I had that with my first one. Lots of contractions then a few days of feeling wonderful followed by labor. There really is no predicting.
