Maternity tights

Let's just so they are soooo comfy!! This morning I put a regular pair of nylons on and they were not comfy, 14.5 weeks. So I decided to cut the band off the top so thy sat right below my belly. Well decided that still wasn't comfy so I tried to make homemade thigh highs...WORST IDEA EVER!! Needless to say as I was walking into target to get maternity tights they rolled down my legs and had to remove them in the target parking lot!! Any get a pair they love? Where from?

Re: Maternity tights

  • This is a great question for the randoms thread! I personally just wear yoga pants

  • Yeah I wear regular leggings I picked up at Costco. I bought maternity leggings and they were literally the same as all my other leggings. So not worth it.
  • I have the Costco ones too. Best leggings ever!! But I felt the band was too tight so I bought maternity leggings and super comfy!
  • Yes! I need some maternity tights!!! All of mine are control top, and it is killing me! I wear dresses everyday, so I need some wintertime tights that I can still eat in.
  • I think this question is more about panty hose rather than leggings.

I luckily work in a business casual environment, so I don't need any, but I saw some at Motherhood that didn't look too expensive!
  • I got a pair from motherhood maternity. They are very comfy
  • I got 2 pairs from destination maternity that are fleece lined. I live in ny so fleece lined is a must! They were a little pricey for leggings but so worth it!
  • Target has maternity hosery when I was there today, but I have never used them. My favorite maternity leggings are from Motherhood Maternity. While they are not cheap, I wish I would have bought them way earlier while pregnant with DD. I wear them ALL the time.
  • I bought the Storq leggings and I am SO glad I did. They're high quality, thick, and have a great fit. They're pricey, but since I have busted out of all of my leggings, pants, and yoga pants I think they're a worthwhile investment for the longterm.

  • And then there's me, wearing my $3 fleece lined leggings from Bi-Mart (def. not a high end store). They come up to my belly button, have a super wide stretchy waistband and they don't cut into my 14w5d blump. Super thick, generous length. Who needs maternity leggings!
  • H&M has great maternity leggings, they're affordable (and organic!)

And I'm wearing them right now ;)
  • @qtwbutie99 totally just remebered that Assets by Sara Blakely has maternity tights! You can find them at target for $18. They don't go up in my size, so I am super bummed about that. Their nonmaternity stuff is great though, so I am assuming these should be awesome!
  • Anybody find any leggings that are thick and NOT see through? I don't want to be able to see skin though them. That's what tights are for :)

I buy the skinny yoga pants from Target. They're pretty much leggings and they have the fold over yoga waist so you can fold them down or pull them up over your bump. They're thick enough and not see through at all. And they're relatively cheap.

  • With DS, I bought the maternity pantyhose, but I found them to be expensive to continue buying every time I got a run. I ended up buying regular non-control top pantyhose and/or tights in 1-2 sizes bigger than I normally would wear. These were loose enough on my belly so that I  was never uncomfortable. There may have been some extra room in the toes, but it was easily folded underneath.

I have to say maternity leggings are the bees knees, though! Love 'em.
  • I got maternity tights and leggings at H&M today. They were quite cheap and the leggings are so comfy it feels like a revelation right now. My normal ones still fit but I can't stand the feeling of the waist band on my stomach
  • I love Lularoe tall and curvy leggings. They are super soft and come in wild patterns.
