Meal planning when everything makes you want to vomit.

The struggle is real.

I'm perusing Pinterest to make a weekly meal plan, which is what I do every weekend. Except today, nothing at all sounds good and the pictures are making me nauseous. So far, I've got stew and chili on the list.

I planned on making stew and taking some to my neighbor tomorrow who just got released from the hospital (this was pre-planned), and BIL sent us a chili kit, so I planned on making that, as well. Anything else...ugh.

I'm open to suggestions because I just can't keep looking at food pictures.

  • I feel you 100%. My nausea has kept me from cooking much.

Rather than look at pics of foods and torturing yourself, stick to some "oldie but goodie" favorites that don't take much effort. I was battling this the other day and ended up making whole wheat pasta with baked chicken parm (easy and minimal thinking or prep time).

I'm with you! Not nauseous but have no appetite. I have been trying to make one or two real recipes and then have simple items on hand so we can get some food: soup, grilled cheese, salad, frozen pizza, pasta, rice, bagged frozen veggies. I'm a great cook and enjoy it, oh well! We'll feel better soon.
  • Thanks, ladies.

DH heated up some roast that I made the other day, and the smell has permeated the house. It's awful. I'm about to start our dinner. Chili. Wish me luck.
