Refreshments

So now that we have tossed away some of our favorites, what are you enjoying as a drink or snack these days? I am currently having some Wise popcorn (Cinnabon flavored - delish) and a Perrier pink grapefruit sparkling water (I have been freezing the glass to make it more like a beer). The bubbles def help with the waves of nausea :o

  • Sprite or Sierra Mist. No caffeine but still carbonated. And cutie oranges.

  • La croix--grapefruit and coconut. The bonus is DH thinks they are gross, so I can keep them in the fridge and he won't steal them. ;)
  • My husband just got me Bundaberg peach soda- delicious!!! I love anything bubbly

  • have a love for plain corn tortilla chips. It got me thru the sickness of my last pregnancies. I try to lean towards low-salt varieties since salt is dehydrating and causes swelling during pregnancy.
  • @eazybreezy225 Corn chips! That reminds me of Look Who's Talking! ... And makes me want to eat them! Lol!
  • I've been drinking water and Dasani flavored seltzer. Occasional ginger tea for nausea.

    Favorite snacks lately have been almonds, and pretzels dipped in Greek yogurt. I don't buy many snacks so there's hardly anything in the house to nosh on. Once or twice a week I'll ask DH to bring home a chocolate bar for me.
  • Water all day. Occasionally flavored with some fruit. And I haven't given up coffee. Just cut back. A lot. I love coffee.

  • When I'm pregnant I can't get enough of 50/50. It's a grapefruit flavored pop that I only had at my gram's house. Hard to find, very old school but so refreshing!

    I am also loving black cherry sparkling water. I normally have no problem drinking plain water, but when I'm pregnant I struggle with it.

  • I've gone to decaf from my usual morning coffee and when I want something cold and bubbly i have a frosty mug with root beer - not all of them are caffeine free though (Barq's is not, but A&W and Mug are). I went to a World Market and got the fancy root beer just to make it more official feeling. Also a virgin Moscow Mule is worth the extra steps in a copper mug.
  • Ginger ale, water, and decaf coffee. I will try look around the grocery store for some other sparkling drinks though! They sound delicious!
  • I gave up coffee when I was ttc, so I've slowly gotten used to my decaf (the Coffee Shop decaf k cups are bomb). I also gave up soda about a year ago, so Seltzer is my new bubbly go to. Polar is my fave.
  • I am mostly drinking water and eating cheese sticks, apples and hummus with pita chips for snacks.  When I have the urge for coffee I just do decaf.

  • Mostly water for a drink, or some flavoring if I get tired of it (Mio, Crystal Lite whatever), and snacking - popcorn, doritos, etc. Last pregnancy I went back to my healthy ways after the first trimester, but found that some comfort junk food in the evening kept my mind off of things!

    My DH loves them, I can't keep them in the fridge long enough!!!

    I mostly drink water now but haven't given up my normal coffee - I only get a tall or grande from Starbucks anyway, and half of it is steamed milk because I drink the mistos. It's just half regular coffee and half steamed milk. Why they can't just call it cafe au lait like any other coffee place is beyond me. I also drink rice milk and unsweetened tea. (I'm on a lactose free and low sugar diet right now, OB approved/enforced, so it limits my options.)

  • Just plain water for me. The only other beverages I care for have caffiene or alcohol in them.

    I've been a snacking machine, and my favorites are cheese and almonds. I was loving the Sargento Balanced Breaks (cheese, nuts, and dried fruit), but ran out and haven't gotten any more.

    Thank you for joining me so that I'm not the only one still drinking coffee. It's allowed in moderation so it surprises me how many people have given up caffeine.

    Still drinking 1 cup in the morning, I usually don't even finish it. I'm also eating a lot of cucumbers too!

    @Beegey33 I miss wine so much I'm dreaming about it! Then I wake up and freak out that I drank! Haha

    I've been craving iced tea, but I try to cut it with half water. I also am still have my coffee in the morning. The doctor said I'm allowed one to two cups. I asked if he was sure so many times that he laughed at me. I love coffee too much to quit.

    I can't stop eating and have tried to replace chips with celery. I'm not gonna lie it's not the same thing at all. Womp womp.
  • @Smallinetta cooking dinner was my time to drink a glass of wine. I feel a little lost wine cooking. I keep getting. The urge to pour a glass. It's a rough life.
