Tell me I'm not the only one who thinks of S Club when I think of this group as S16.

Okay, onto my real random: I'm in the NICU this month and for the past few days I feel like every baby is getting an x-Ray. I am in super stealth mode while I secretly step any every 30 minutes to avoid the x-Rays! This will be easier when people know I'm pregnant.

My 1 year old is getting ear tubes next week. The pre-op convo said "And you'll be in the recovery room as long as you're not pregnant.. blah blah blah" just kept on going and I was like "uhhh.. and what if I am, maybe pregnant??" hahaha. This is due to the gasses used before putting in the tubes. Luckily my husband has the day off too so he can be in the recovery room if the anesthesiologist thinks it best I'm not in there, but it's so hard - when I don't want to tell people I'm pregnant yet and then have to.

Thank you! It's a 5 minute procedure so I'm not nervous but I'd like to be there as he comes to since they tend to be a bit groggy/grouchy depending on how they're feeling. Hopefully it's an overprecaution and I can be in there, otherwise, my husband is a rockstar and will be all over it while I protect little appleseed outside!

Holy moly nausea has arrived and it is horrid. How do people function like this? Why does this have to happen so early on when most aren't telling people and have to suffer without support at work? Anyone else afraid of taking pain killers for a head ache? I know, Tylenol is safe but I'm still scared. Do anyone's else's eyes hurt? Like you just want to close them? Should this all go in the symptoms thread?

Okay, I'm done.

@mom2adoodle My eyes have been hurting too! I didn't really relate it to pregnancy, but who knows...! And I hear you on the being sick while trying to keep things secret. It's cruel and unusual punishment!

@mom2adoodle - Take Tylenol if you're in pain. For real. This is my unsolicited advice after some pretty bad headaches last pregnancy and as a pharmacist. Some relief will go a long way!

@crispy11 hello from september 15! I am an xray tech and I had a perfectly healthy little man. We are taught in school the xrays do not have the energy to travel past 6 feet so as long as your past 6 floor tiles from the xray tube you'll be safe. Plus thankfully for you the amount of radiation needed to penetrate a little nicu baby is so low it barely travels past the bassinet. I understand wanting to be safe and going further but I just wanted to let you know and hopefully give you some piece of mind. Good luck with your pregnancy!

Beware of the crazy nose sniffer....I just had my real first moment of the strong sniffer...a chocolate kiss on someone's desk from 50 feet away and of course I'm walking through the office trying to figure out why I smell chocolate and one of my coworkers asked if I was ok. I said commonly "yes, but i've been smelling chocolate" and then the guy next door says that he had a kiss...long and behold it was that because as I got closer the smell got stronger and when I passed him it became more faint... we all had a good laugh.
