Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I have a love/hate relationship with the cold at the moment. I love the cold because there's the possibility of snow days, but I hate it because the moment I get cold my boobs start hurting a CRAZY amount. I'm also definitely showing and it's amusing me, and then amusing my hubby that I'm so amused- like the fact my belly button is flattening out- I find it hilarious.
Upcoming appointments: Not until the 28th!
Questions for the Group:Nothing baby related but how were your holidays!?!?
GTKY: Are you taking any trips before baby?Nothing big, but it looks like a month and a half after Evelyn comes we'll be making a trip to Tennessee for my cousin's wedding, then another one in October for my best friend's wedding where I'll be a bridesmaid.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I've been sick 3 time this pregnancy, with a current unofficial 4th at the moment due to these cold symptoms. I'm annoyed but waiting it out to see if this is just pregnancy congestion or what. It's so annoying!
Upcoming appointments: just got back from our anatomy scan! We weren't kept there for talking to a radiologist about anything so that's always a relief, since our tech says she'd never have anyone leave thinking all is good if there was something catastrophic. She said she was very happy with the ultrasound so I'm cautiously relieved! Finding out the sex tonight on our date
Questions for the Group: do we have any 2+ time moms in Friday? If so I'm curious if any went past due date with first, and then what happened with their second. There's this public opinion part that says 2nd baby's come earlier than first, but my midwife says those with longer gestations tend to repeat it. I'm okay with whatever of course, just curious about personal anecdotes
GTKY: Are you taking any trips before baby? We will likely go on an Easter trip when I'm 31-32 weeks. My midwives are fine with anything prior to 36 weeks unless something unexpected comes up with the pregnancy. DH and I are also toying with the idea of a weekend in the city as a little baby moon since I've never slept away from DS before. It'd be nice to have a weekend together and sleeping in before we become a family of 4!
@bookelf221 Christmas holidays were great! DS had so much fun with his cousins I loved watching him try to do why they do. Holidays really are that much better with kids!
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: My ankles and feet have started to swell, some heartburn, waking up a million times to either pee or flop over on my other side, random pains. Feeling so much movement and I love it! Makes all the annoying stuff bearable.
Upcoming appointments: 1/12 for monthly check-up, 1/28 for Glucose test.

GTKY: Are you taking any trips before baby? I have high hopes to, but probably not. My H is going to LA for a week in Feb and I'm super jealous. I'm a bit stressed about taking care of our dogs by myself when I'm in the 3rd trimester but I don't want him to know and feel bad. It's a work trip and it's important that he goes. I may just take a few days off work during that week to ease my stress about rushing home to feed and walk our fur babies.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Movement movement movement! I've also been SUPER hungry a lot. I need to reign back because I gained like 6 or 7 lbs since my last visit. I blame holidays on most of it as I usually gain about 5lbs between Thanksgiving and New Years when I'm NOT growing a baby.
Upcoming appointments: We had one this morning! It was a follow up A/S since they couldn't get everything they needed last time. Baby cooperated, we confirmed it definitely is a BOY, and the choroid plexus cysts are all gone. YAY!!!!! We finally got some good print outs of the silhouette this time so I can put them in his frame
Questions for the Group: Are you doing a nursery theme?
GTKY: Are you taking any trips before baby? We haven't really thought about it. Last time we tacked on to a work trip of mine in San Francisco and it was awesome. We may try to do a little weekend babymoon, I just hate to spend a weekend away from our little and burdening family to watch her (though I know they don't mind).
And I want the holidays back! This week has been hell at work since it's back to the grind sort of thing. Those 2 weeks went way too fast!
Week/Fruit: 23 weeks, grapefruit
Rants/Raves/Symptoms:
Rant: I'm hot one minute and then cold the next, I know I'm showing but part of me still feels like I look just plain fat and not pregnant to strangers (why I care who knows), the past several weeks I'd been sleeping super well and this week has been payback - little sleep is no fun and I'm tired of everyone saying that it's prepping me for motherhood!
Raves: I'm horny all the time now and the orgasms, OMG!
Symptoms: I'm getting hungrier, which partially annoys me even though I know it's for the growing baby. My boobs haven't hurt or been sore this entire pregnancy so far...should I be concerned at all? The right one is itchy a lot, but that's it.
Upcoming appointments: 21st I'll see my regular baby doctor and then on 2/5 I have a follow up with the perinatologist to get more pictures
Questions for the Group: perinatologist said today that baby was in the 31percentile...umm, I feel like I should understand this but I don't. What the heck does that mean?
GTKY: Are you taking any trips before baby? DH took me on a trip back at the beginning of Dec for my 30th birthday to Cancun. So we've done a "babymoom" if you will.
Week/Fruit: 21 weeks pomegranate/carrot
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I too currently have a cold. I feel like I've been mucusy this entire pregnancy.
Upcoming appointments: I had one today. Just a quick check up, finally heard baby boy's heartbeat with the doppler. Was stressing it would be hard to find again.
Questions for the Group:
GTKY: Are you taking any trips before baby? We traveled a lot in December. I don't think we will plan any other trips. Maybe a weekend get away to the Great Wolf Lodge with our son.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: So hungry all the time, but nothing sounds good to eat...
Upcoming appointments: Not scheduled right now, we left our last appointment in a hurry because they forgot about us and left us waiting for over an hour to see the doctor and had to leave so my husband could get to work
Questions for the Group: I asked this in a different thread and no one has answered yet..:
I did a fasting gluclose test (no sugar drink) when I was 8 weeks pregnant and had a low-ish score of 67 (test for my insurance). Is this any indicator that I might pass the gestational diabetes test?
GTKY: Are you taking any trips before baby? Yes, we're headed to Italy next weekend for 2 weeks!
@finnybooboo - nope, no nursery theme. We have two older kids and are a little strapped for room so the twins nursery is directly off of the dining room by French doors (which you can see from the living room and kitchen). It's currently a sunroom/office. So we're trying to do make it coordinate with the style of the house - cute, but not cutesy.
@lionstigersbears - I know of a few moms around my age who went overdue with additional children but I know more that had their 2nd+ earlier and FAST, so my biggest advice is don't wait too long to go to the hospital! My 1st was induced at 42 weeks. My 2nd was born at 39 weeks and I got to the hospital 10cm dilated! I am the oldest of 4 and we were all 2 weeks late. So there's my 2 cents.
Week/Fruit: 22 weeks/papaya
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I have horrible carpal tunnel! I had it with my first two pregnancies but not until the 3rd trimester and never this bad. My hands were completely numb or tingly when I woke up in the morning (started around 20 weeks). I am wearing wrist guards at night and that helps but doesn't completely solve it. Double the babies, double the symptoms?! I didn't have any morning sickness so I guess this is my thing.
Upcoming appointments: I have a sonogram on Wed. Last month they did a cervical check and they couldn't get a great view on how close one of the placentas are to my cervix, so they will be looking at that again. I'm still hoping to have these twin boys vaginally.
Questions for the Group:
GTKY: Are you taking any trips before baby? Nope. Not recommended with twins at this point. We went to Chicago when I took the pregnancy test though, does that count?
