HCG levels at 3, safe to proceed?

Here's a question my friend who had a MC the same time as me and I have. we can't find the answer online. We both just got AFs this week and have HCG levels at 3 and 4 respectively. Are we okay to TTC later this month or do you think the Drs will tell us not to? I'm seeing my doctor on Monday and will hopefully have another HCG test done that day that show the levels drop. As long as regular old AF is back and levels are less than 5, is it safe?

    That's what I've always heard as the threshold for "negative" HCG. My doctor told me that I should wait one month for my first period and a negative test, but after that it should be ok (depending on my thyroid levels). Obviously, your own doctors can tell you what's best for your own personal situation, but to me, yes, it sounds safe. If you have a doc appt Monday, you should be able to get a concrete answer before your fertile week. If not, it never hurts to call the office and ask.
