We are going to do a gender reveal party this time. I've looked at ideas on how to announce at the party, but just not coming up with much that stands out that isn't totally over done. Is anyone doing a party? What are your ideas for the reveal?

We did the balloons in a box thing and wrapped them up like gifts for Christmas. Everyone seemed to really enjoy it.

We found out earlier then we expected based on test results so we just did a cake with colored filling to tell our immediate family all together. It was a memorable day !!! Good luck whatever you decide you have some great ideas from these ladies
Having a cake made pink or blue, with pink and blue frosting on the inside
Having everyone take a cupcake and having 1 cupcake have pink or blue on inside
Opening a box of balloons with pink or blue inside
Popping a balloon with pink or blue confetti
As for parties themselves, I've seen pink and blue drink bars, pins with team pink or blue, for people to wear. I've seen pin tail (pink or blue) on donkey and other things like that.
Good luck and have fun
Now I'm thinking we'll take our parents and DD to our favorite pizza dive and have them put a B or a G with toppings on our pizza. We can still all find out together, but it's more intimate. Plus I get pizza, that's always a win in my book.
My mother is set on throwing one for us, but I keep reminding her *keep it small*. DH and I are way too excited & will not be able to wait to find out later than the appointment, so it will likely be us telling everyone in some way. DH is a jokester and wants to do something that will get some laughs... Still brainstorming!
Not to hijack this post, but my parents will be out of the country on an extended vacation when we find out the gender of baby #2. Any ideas for a FaceTime or long-distance gender reveal?
