Ticker Change Thursday 1/7/16

I don't see it up here yet....


10 weeks today!  Baby is the size of a prune.  and has fingers!!!!!! 

I've been feeling mostly good this week.  Getting excited knowing I'm close to finishing this first trimester! Also excited for 14 weeks because that's when the baby is the size of a lemon.  I don't know why that is such a milestone for me, but last pregnancy that was a big deal for me.

    How many weeks today? 7

    How big is baby (fruit size or other)? Blueberry or wee raspberry depending on the app. Also saw a playing die under the fun and games theme!

    Rants/ Raves/ Symptoms? exhaustion and nausea are kicking my butt. I feel so pathetic and weak and wonder how the heck I am supposed to hack it as a mom...

    Questions? What snack/food goes down easiest for everyone? Nothing is appealing!

    GTKY- Have you always lived in the same area/state or all over? I have always lived in the same state (MA) but several towns. We settled one town over from my hometown though!

    How big is baby (fruit size or other)? Blueberry

    Rants/ Raves/ Symptoms? I am nauseous all day long, at 4pm it goes away and I feel like a new person. The only thing that appeals to me are carbs. Up until last week I was able to continue with my regular Paleo diet but not this week, all I want are bagels!

    GTKY- Have you always lived in the same area/state or all over? I have always lived in California but all over. I am originally from San Diego, lived with my hubby in the LA area until 2 years ago when we moved to the Bay Area and I love it here!

    How big is baby (fruit size or other)? Pecan or jacks or some kind of fancy butterfly that must be super tiny

    Rants/ Raves/ Symptoms? Dry heaving like it's my job

    GTKY- Have you always lived in the same area/state or all over? Always in the midwest. I grew up in Michigan, then did my undergrad in Indiana and am now in Nebraska for grad school. I lived in Australia for six months as part of a study abroad program as well.

    How big is baby (fruit size or other)? I go by the Ovia app and that says raspberry

    Rants/ Raves/ Symptoms? I found out today that I have an ovarian cyst, but it's not bugging me. I also have to start taking daily shots to prevent blood clots since I have a history of a pulmonary embolis and another blood clot. But on the Rave side, I got to hear my baby's heartbeat today!

    Questions? Nope

    How big is baby (fruit size or other)? Sweet Pea

    Rants/ Raves/ Symptoms? Not much today! I went out for lunch today at this burger place where you can order a "burger bowl" which is basically a green salad with a burger patty on top. A good semi healthy option for burger cravings. Anyway, parts of my meat patty were rather rare. Safe for non-pregnant people I'm sure, it's not like it was raw. But it was definitely red in the middle. I'd already eaten a lot of it by the time I noticed, and also we were in a hurry to eat and get back to work, so I didn't send the plate back, and I just ate it. My friend who is a mom assured me I'd be fine, but I know I will feel uneasy for the next few days wondering if I'm going to be stricken with e.coli or something! 

    Questions? It's not the rare meat itself that is a problem, it's just the risk of e.coli that we worry about right? Which is a pretty slim chance??
