Tired and nauseous (here and there)

Doing anything baby related today?
Nothing baby related today, unless I can get a walk in. The gym is overly crowded at the moment.

My pants aren't fitting-already!! I am seeing if leggings are work appropriate, so far so good. Haha.

Questions?
Anyone else get sick at night? My nausea seems to hit after dinner, but if I get sick sick it goes away pretty quick after. If not then the nausea lasts for about 20 minutes.

GTKY: Where is your favorite place to vacation? Or where have you never been but would love to go?
I am not much of a traveler, but I loved our cruise to Mexico. I really enjoyed Cz. I am a beach bum at heart. I would like to visit Brazil one day!

How far along are you? EDD? 6 weeks today!!! EDD 9/1

How are you feeling? Not great but not terrible. I have some major sinus pressure and headache today and it's rough not being able to take anything for it! Just took a Tylenol so hopefully that helps, at least a little!

Doing anything baby related today? Nope, just counting down the days until my first appointment - next Wed!

Rants/Raves/Randoms: DH sarcastically told me I'm a joy to hang out with last night. I told him to shut up. Which he then said proves his point. Um, I'm sorry but I feel like junk, worked all day and then cared for DD until he got home after 7 pm. Excuse me if this is finally my opportunity to 'check out' for the night! I already feel like a jerk for having less patience with DD and not being as engaged with her due to exhaustion and other pregnancy symptoms - especially when I feel like I should be more engaged to take advantage of the time we have left with just her... So I really don't need the guilt trip from DH!

GTKY: Where is your favorite place to vacation? Or where have you never been but would love to go? I've really only ever been to the Carribbean - Mexico, The Dominican Republic and Jamaica. I loved all three trips but they were very similar to one another (all-inclusive resorts) just in different locations. Jamaica was definitely my favorite. But I'm also looking forward to someday doing something more 'tourist-y' and less 'laying-on-the-beach-y'. I would love to go to Europe and Thailand someday. Koalas are my favorite animal so Australia is a future must! As my kids are growing, I'm also looking forward to just exploring the States with them and DH, too!

Rants/Raves/Randoms: @ritarae82 Is it after you take your prenatal? If not then try half a unisom and B6. make sure it is the unisome with Doxylamine not Diphenhydramine. It is a miracle worker for nasea.

How are you feeling? Good, which in my mind is becoming "too good". Can't remember how I felt this early on last time... Waiting for nausea to hit. I feel bloated - but I've also been snacking too much as I'm a nervous eater and we have so many holiday treats still kicking around

Doing anything baby related today? Nope

Rants/Raves/Randoms: I'm ready to feel healthy - just finishing up 10 days of antibiotics for strep and I caught my 1 year old's awful head cold over the last couple of days. I feel like my patience is way down (I get stressed any time my son is sick.. he's getting tubes next week due to recurrent ear infections). Hoping I can put my big girl undies on and stop being so whiny/short tempered just because I feel like crap

GTKY: Where is your favorite place to vacation? Or where have you never been but would love to go? We love to go anywhere, and this past year even close trips (local animal preserve, hiking, beach trips) were especially amazing to see them through the eyes of the baby. I will always love Disney World, and would love to get the kiddo(s) down there in the next couple years

How are you feeling? The cramps/pulling is pretty much gone!! But the nausea is settling in so yay. In order to not feel miserable about it, I'm welcoming the nausea as a sign that things are developing as they should be.

Feeling? Not so good. The migraine that started yesterday afternoon and stayed with me all night and into today. The vomitting started this morning. I hate this part of pregnancy.

Baby related? Just waiting on an email back from my doc about appts.

Rants/Raves: My parents are amazing. They stepped up and took my daughter to pre-school this morning. I thought I'd be well enough to get her this afternoon. Instead, they called to tell me they would pick her up and take my younger daughter to their house to play so I can rest and hopefully get some relief. I seriously don't know what I'd do without my parents and sisters.

Fav Vavation: I'm a beach girl. If I'm on or near the water I'm happy. My profile pic is from our honeymoon to the Dominican Republic. I'd go back in an instant. I have a long list of places I want to go...mainly islands or tropical locales.

@noelani42 I did not, but now that you mention it I just remembered one of my friends who is into oils made me a headache blend that includes peppermint. I'm going to give a shot.

-horrible today. Super nauseous... I've been on the verge of vomiting all day. Also, I am so thirsty!! I can't seem to quench it. If I drink to much, I feel more nauseous. Blah.

- Going on a date tonight with my Dh. He set it all up and even found a sitter. So not like him but I'll take it. Super excited!

-anyone use ginger chews/candies to help with nausea? I'm so scared to try them as I don't think I'll like them but if they help maybe I should suck it up.

-We have never been on a cruise so I think that's next on our list. We won't be vacationing this year as we will be buying a house this spring/summer.

@reesaXden My mom bought me ginger gum (I think it was made by SeaBands). It was spicy and wasn't my favorite taste, but it definitely helped my nausea.

I will say the thing that helped me the most with nausea were SeaBands. They are these little elastic bands (totally dorky) that you wear on your wrist. They hit an acupressure trigger point in your wrist and it helps suppress the nausea. I didn't leave home without those things.

You can get them at Walgreens either near the stomach/nausea stuff or near motion sickness meds.

@reesaXden I tried candied ginger with my 1st.. the taste made me feel more nauseous instead of less - was way too spicy for me to chew it long enough to see if it would work. I ended up eating a lot of peppermints and just lightly grazing all day for the first trimester.

@AnnaS930 That was my fear with trying them!! I've been munching on soft peppermint sticks all day today but hoping to find something else that may help as well!

How are you feeling? bloated, tired, slightly nauseous when I woke up this morning.

Doing anything baby related today? Made my first appointment! I had to wait for DH's new insurance to send us the contract and group numbers. My OB wouldn't book a first appointment without them.

Rants/Raves/Randoms: I hate filling out paperwork for the doctor. So many pages of some of the same stuff. Over and over and over again. At least I can download it and work on it over the next few weeks.

GTKY: Where is your favorite place to vacation? Or where have you never been but would love to go? Favorite vacation - my families yearly trip to the Ozarks in Missouri. My family has been going down there since my parents were kids. Unfortunately, the trip is the first 2 weeks in August. There is pretty much no way for the 9 month pregnant me to ride 10 hours in a car to sit in a cabin for a week. I can't water-ski or do anything else on the lake besides sit in a boat. Not to mention it will be HOT!

How are you feeling? Pretty good overall. Some sinus pressure and extreme thirst but I'll take that over nausea any day.

Doing anything baby related today? Got my first set of blood work today...

Rants/Raves/Randoms: We're having Christmas #2 this week, not looking forward to it. We drive 5 hours to DH's home town and then his family is all over the place and never really around when you want them to be. It's also a super boring town with nothing to do so it should make for an extremely long weekend.

How far along are you? EDD? 5w5d. EDD 9/3 (although it'll likely be sooner, even though my brother and I were long cookers).

How are you feeling? The nausea has hit me hard in the last couple of days. If I get even a little bit hungry I feel like I'm going to projectile vomit. So far, no actual vomiting, just the nausea, but I figure in a couple of days, it'll be here in full force.

Doing anything baby related today? Telling some people our (new) good news - we're having twins! And updating our baby registry to reflect double the number of babies.

Rants/Raves/Randoms: We got to see one of our twins heartbeats on today's ultrasound! I'm not even a little bit worried that the other one wasn't visible, since we weren't expecting to see one at all and they definitely didn't implant on the same day, if my implantation cramps were any indication.

Questions? I'm a little overwhelmed right now. So no, but give me some time and I'll have a ton, I'm sure.

GTKY: Where is your favorite place to vacation? Or where have you never been but would love to go? I've never been to either New Orleans (always wanted to go, but not during Mardi Gras, since I hate crowds and commotion) or Scotland (on my list since my family has a lot of Scottish ancestry).

Right now, my favorite place to vacation is Disney World. We went the last two years for Halloween and really enjoyed it. Looks like it's not going to happen this year with babies on the horizon, which makes me sad, but it's worth giving it up temporarily.

How are you feeling? Dizzy, nauseous

Doing anything baby related today? Booked a phone appointment for tomorrow then scheduling first ultrasound during that appointment.

Rants/Raves/Randoms: I emailed my DR through our online portal when I got my BFP. She said someone would call me that morning. They didn't call until 4:35 (They close at 4:30) and I've been playing phone tag for the last three days. Finally got called today.

Europe is on our list for when kids are bigger. We go to San Diego a lot cause SIL and BIL are there. We are going next weekend for a few days.

* I am 6 weeks today with an EDD of 1 Sept
* I am feeling good, except when I go more than three hours without something to eat/snack on. I get nauseous which I don't normally do.
* Nothing baby related today.
* I got my CPAP machine today so hopefully there will be some good sleeping starting tonight.
* I would love to take a cruise to the Bahamas or Jamaica. I loved Colorado when I went there for work and I think my family would enjoy it for vacation.

Now if I could just stop stressing out over having to get multiples of our registry items, a double stroller, figure out a way to wear both babies at once without completely destroying my back...I'm sure everything will work itself out but right now I'm feeling a little overwhelmed.

How are you feeling?
Fairly good. Occasional very slight nausea and I'm pretty tired. My biggest symptom right now seems to be out of proportion joy and crying at totally random things.Today I smelled something that reminded me of black olives and started crying because I love black olives (I don't really love them that much).

Rants/Raves/Randoms:
It's so hard to not tell people. I talked with my mom on the phone today and was very careful to leave out the most important part of last weekend (the BFP on DH's bday!!!). It was incredibly difficult to just talk with her and not blurt it out. My parents are coming to visit in 2 weeks so I plan to tell them then in person instead of over the phone. I don't know how I'm going to make it. Maybe I'll just try not to call her much until then

I love anywhere warm and tropical. I spend so much time cold, it's really nice to thaw out. Vietnam and Cambodia in March will be a nice change from the endless rain. That being said, I really really love going to my in laws' mountain cabin in the winter too!

How are you feeling?
I had the faintest of spotting today, so I kind of took a break from TB and just kept myself busy with anything else non baby related. I did call the Dr just to let them know, and the nurse was really nice to offer to have my labs drawn today so that they have them for my appt tomorrow (that was already scheduled) that way I wont have to wait through the weekend for results.

Nothing much, just glad its almost the weekend, I'm ready for some extra sleep time.

How far along are you? EDD? Today I was told 5 weeks 2 days (I thought I was 5 weeks 3 days!) and have a new EDD of September 6th!

How are you feeling? Tired, bowels are strange but can't complain.

Doing anything baby related today? I went for my first ultrasound and beta drawl. Gestational sac is there and hoping to see the yolk and heartbeat in two weeks when I return!

Rants/Raves/Randoms: I have our first official baby photo (ultrasound print out of the gestational sac) and am just so thrilled.

Questions? Doctor said my uterus looked very healthy and full and that I could "expect" to spot. WTF?

GTKY: Where is your favorite place to vacation? Or where have you never been but would love to go? We went on safari in Tanzania and Kenya and that was hands down the best trip of my life. Would love to go back when our kids are old enough to appreciate it one day. Otherwise I am dying to visit Greece!
