Since ttc can be stressful and I seem to have been stuck in the AF blues all week, I sometimes forget the good things I have going on in life! What's something good that's happened to you recently? Or what are you thankful for today?

I rescued a very sick cat 2 1/2 months ago and after a ton of rehab he was rehomed yesterday!!!! I'm going to miss him and cried as he went with his new mom but I'm so happy!!!! My 2 permanent resident cats hated him and it was making everyone miserable. I'm so glad he's getting a new start at life.

We've finally been getting a decent amount of rain here in NorCal after our very long drought! Not really a personal win, but definitely a win for our water bill. And you know, the drought.

DH surprised me and redid our master bathroom during his day off while I was at work. It was so ugly before...pale yellow walls and brass everything. It was a fright.

Or what are you thankful for today? - I colored my hair during holiday vacation and it has been a huge hit. Everyone tells me how great I look - last year I was ina huge depressed rut after gaining 25lbs and would wear whatever was black and baggy with my hair in a bun and no makeup. So getting compliments is a big confidence boost

Also, DH took a different position in his company. It will require us to have opposite days off but it pays better which could *hopefully* mean us being able to pay down our debt and me be able to work from home in 2017. Really hoping 2016 is the last year of me working 2 jobs.

H let me order a really cute trashcan from Anthropologie for my Christmas present, which got here on Monday. Somehow they double shipped and a second one arrived today! I called customer service and let them know, but I guess since it was on sale anyway and they didn't want to pay shipping back they said just to keep it. So, free cute vintage-y looking trash can for me!

SO is done with the fire academy tomo so we are celebrating that achievement. After weeks of feeling blah and I am finally feeling much better. I think I was just in a huge rut so I am thankful for that!

My 4-day migraine is gone today! Hallelujah.
The best part is that I took off work just in case I was still miserable (I'm a teacher... fourth graders + migraine = HELL) and so now I get a relaxing mental health day. Win. Win.

My MIL renewed our Disney annual passes for our Christmas present and we planned our first trip of the new year with our best friends. We leave in a few weeks!

We're moving next weekend (boo) but we decided to throw out some of our old, icky furniture and go on an Ikea date this weekend to buy a few things. I'm excited to get rid of the ugly glass dining room table and cat hair covered chairs that DH had when we met. I know Ikea isn't the highest quality so it won't be our long term furniture but at least it will look nicer and I'll have a place to put all of the beautiful glassware we got for our wedding that has been sitting in boxes in the dining room for over a year.

MH and I *almost* finished building a pair of monstrous IKEA wardrobes which desperately needed to happen! And then my best friend, her husband and their 8-month-old daughter visited! It was only for 24 hours but it was great, especially because they live in another country a 6-7 hour flight away.

@ashbear720 - heck yes to the rain! A few of my friends have complained and I'm like, "STFU we need this so badly."

I went for a swim today at the new earlier lap swim times in the better pool. It was good for my mental health this morning.

So, I emailed the company of my brand new underwater MP3 player that the cat savagely destroyed last night. I was clear that the cat had chewed the wire (totally not their fault), and asked if there was anything I could do to fix it myself. I got a response first thing this morning, and as I expected, the woman who wrote back said she didn't think I could fix it. Then she asked for my full shipping address so that she could send me a new one. WHAT?! I

I just ordered a huge pizza, chicken strips, wedges, and garlic break to celebrate the departure of AF and because I'm starving and wanted a night off from cooking AND SO has just gone to collect is so we can get it quicker. Its the little things.

Overall I've had a pretty good week this week so nothing stands out. DH told me he has someone scheduled to come fix the kitchen sink pipe on Saturday morning, so that's awesome. We've been eating a lot of fast food so we don't have to do dishes and I'm so over it.

I love the rain in San Diego, but driving in it is terrifying! People lose their damn minds! Also, I live at the bottom of a hill, so it is like a waterfall in front of the the house! People are stand up paddling down the road. Ugh, San Diego, get over yourself.

My good news is that DH got an unexpected promotion and raise today! He thought his boss was calling to yell at him! Yay!
