I think I'm being stabbed...

right in the belly button. I got sent home from work because I was in so much pain. It just started right before I left for work and it hurts to bend over or stand up all the way...

Anyone else ever experienced pain like this? I'm gonna do some research and hope it gets better soon.

    Is it located slighlty to the right or left or just in the center of you belly button.  Also is it tender to the touch, or does the pain not change with touch?

    If it is to the right of your belly button and lower on belly, Iwould suggest calling your on=call doc. NEver play with the apendix!

    I don't think it's my appendix. It is directly in the center of my belly button and a little below. It literally feels like I am being repeatedly stabbed. I am a little nauseas... I will probably end up going to the ER.

    I don't have an on-call doc. The only doc I have here is my RE and I have only seen him one time.

    I know it's a pain in the but, but have DH take you the ER to get it checked and let us know how things work out. Feel better!

    Thanks... I will probably have him take me when he gets back from the store. I will probably be there all freakin night. I hate our ER but I need to figure out what's wrong...

    Since you are waiting for DH to come home before you go to ER, Try taking a antacid or a gas pill, if your stomach area is not tender to touch.

    It is tender and hurts to cough or move... I just did the symptom checker on WebMD and it came up with appendicitis, ectopic pregnancy and IBS

    Yikes!  You should get to the doctor just to be safe!
