I'm almost 16 weeks and I'm about 5'10" with absolutely no bump. Are there any taller women that can relate? I'm under the impression taller women tend to not show for a while. Kind of sad I don't have a bump yet lol
I'm about 5'10" currently 149 # and I just started to show a bit last week at 15 weeks . My placenta is posterior and I'm carrying out front. My bff who is 5'11 solid 140# at any given point didn't show till she was 18 weeks so everybody is different
I think I've got everybody beat: I'm 6'1" and I am not showing either. My mother wants to attribute that to my height, but I don't think it's that relevant because I am super long legged - it's not like the baby can disperse itself through it. I think it just differs from person to person. I am 16 or 17 weeks along and I haven't really popped yet.
I'm 6 ft tall and I started getting a bump around 14 weeks. I'm 18 weeks now and it's a bit bigger but because My torso is long I don't look pregnant in most of my clothes. If I wear tighter fitting clothes people definitely notice but otherwise I just look like I ate a big meal. It's different for everyone though.
I'm 5'9 and 120 pre pregnancy. With my first I didn't show until 6-7 months and when I went into labor at 8 months the security guard stopped me to sign in. He thought I was a visitor.
Anyway you might not show a lot, and it might be due to height...or the baby might be towards your back, kinda hiding. With my second now I'm showing at 14 weeks but just like I had a big lunch :-(
I'm only 5'6" and have zero bump at 16 weeks, still fit in all my regular clothes. I just had an U/S and baby is growing right on target, just not in an outward direction obviously! I am a FTM.
Me: 40 DH: 43 Married 5/30/15 TTC #1 June 2015 BFP #1 9/28/15, EDD 6/10/16. DS born 5/23/16! TTC #2 May 2017 BFP #2 m/c 11/18/17 5w5d BFP #3 12/17/17 EDD 8/25/18. It's a boy!
I'm 5'11" and my profile photo is from my 18 week bump with my last one. I was flat until 1/2-way through then I grew because I had a lot of fluid. This time around, I got pregnant right after having the first one so I still had some baby weight on me. My tummy looks 18 weeks and I'm 18 weeks. Haven't gained any weight though because I still have 20 lbs from the last one.
Any idea where I can find tall black maternity pants ??
I found a bunch online but they aren't talls
An inseam of 34 is perfect but hard to find
Gap has long lengths that are 34" inseams in most of their maternity styles not all. All the pairs I have are from there, I'm 5'11" they are a little short on me but better than regulars!
I'm 5'11" but my torso is short (like, the same size as my 4'11" grandma's), so I'm already showing at 14 weeks. There's nowhere else for the baby to go. I'm slightly concerned that when I get too big I'll be like a beach ball on stilts. My balance is not strong enough to handle that.
@austinjl I bought a pair of the storq leggings, and they're amazing. They're really well made and so comfortable, plus they're long. Really really long.
@austinjl I don't. They're pricey, but compared to the $40 ones I got from gap that feel like they're falling apart after a few washes, I think these will last for the whole of this pregnancy and after.
I'm 6' and I did not show with my first until 6-7 months. Pregnant with twins now and starting to kinda show at 4.5 months! We are tall and have more real estate inside there! I did it get any stretch marks either!
5'10" STM I started to look chubbier around 22 weeks and wore maternity tops at 24 when it *maybe* started to look like a bump. Doctor said it was because I was tall and had tight abs too. I was a little jealous of other pregnant women because I wanted to show it off, plus people who knew were constantly nagging me about if the baby was really in there.
@jonesl12 I found black maternity pants in long sizes at the Motherhood maternity store, but I didn't seem them online. I got jeans at Gap, but didn't really see any other styles.
Not as tall as most of you ladies, i am 5'8" normally weigh 129. Just recently popped at 20 weeks and had to run out and buy maternity clothes. Dont worry, your bumps will come
I'm 5'9" and popped pretty early - and now at almost 15wks, I'm quite obviously pregnant. But I also didn't have a very firm tummy pre-pregnancy, and I think that contributes to showing sooner.
I love finding fellow tall ladies! I'm 6 feet. I'm a STM now, and started to get a bump pretty early. With my first though, when I was 28 weeks, if I was wearing something like a sweatshirt people that didn't know me couldn't even tell. It took a long time! This time, I was in the best shape I've ever been in when I got pregnant. Started 166 lbs at 6ft. All my muscles remembered from last time and just let that bump come right out by 14 weeks.
As far as tall pregnant clothes...I have found ONE pair of Old Navy skinny jeans that are long enough. I have even bought two of the same exact pair, and the other one is too short and I have to roll them up. Mostly I survive pregnancy with leggings and jeans tucked into boots with tunics/ dresses. When it starts to get too warm for boots, I roll them up or get some maternity capris. I have a 38 inch inseam, so I seriously just give up. I struggle to find non-maternity pants, maternity pants are even worse! You can also take a pair of your old jeans to a seamstress and have a pregnancy panel put in if you are desperate! But you have to be willing to give up your pants.
I'm 5'11 and 14 weeks and have been asked if I'm sure I'm only 14 weeks / whether we're having twins - my friend is 16 weeks with hardly any bump yet. I just think we are all different and should enjoy the pros of whichever way our body has gone! Xx
