How far along are you? 6 weeks!

How are you feeling? Terribly queasy from the hours of 7-10, pretty good from 10-5, and then kind of yucky from 5 until bed. Morning/evening sickness has arrived right on schedule.

Doing anything baby related today? Shopping for a toddler bed for DD so we can move the crib into the new baby's room.

Rants/Raves/Randoms? I hate 1st trimester and I hate winter. That's all. I have to give snaps to DH for being so thoughtful and patient this week. He's quick to step up when he knows I'm feeling sick.

Questions? Those who plan to breastfeed: What pump are you looking to use?

GTKY: What's your favorite hobby? Theater. I've been participating in theater productions since college, and it was the love of my life before I had DH and DD in it. Surely my name gave that away.

Like I'm hungover. DD has been up since 4:00 am and she is snoozing away and I can't seem to nap.

Just looking at all the new baby gear that is out or coming out this year. Since I'm in Central FL I'm thinking about getting the mumbrella. We go to Disney a lot and It seems to help with the sun and rain.

How far along are you? 5 wks 6 days!

How are you feeling? Best I have so far... guess I should enjoy it while I can! Boobs don't hurt as much anymote, which freaked me out yesterday but I'm feeling ok today about it. Not much nausea yet. Only when I smell something terrible. Like seafood bisque. Barf

Doing anything baby related today? I was checking out Lucie's List and put some car seats on my private Amazon wish list so I could keep track of the ones I saw. I'll also be calling my OB today to set up my first appointment. I just hope our new insurance cards come in before then.

Rants/Raves/Randoms? I can't believe I have to wait till I'm 8w 5d for my 1st doctors appt.When I made the appt, I was totally cool with it. Now it seems so far away. I guess the good thing is that if all goes well, the u/s will be much clearer than the 1st I had with DD.

Questions? @TheTamedShrew I loved Medela for a breast pump. Think I had one of the advanced in style ones. Not the most expensive in their line. I started with an Ameda Purely Yours from my insurance and I hated it the whole time I had it. It was life changing when I got the medela.

GTKY: What's your favorite hobby? I love to read though it seems like it rarely happens with a toddler in the house (I read a ton of kids books if that counts;)).

I think it was decided that we will switch to ticker changes when all the September due dates have found their way to the board. Either by the end of this month or definitely by February 1st. I like to post Wednesday's because that's my ticker change day.

How are you feeling?

Very slightly worse today. My atomach feels on edge. It's ok but j feel like any second it won't be. I made DS some banana pancakes this morning and the smell of the coconut oil was disgusting. I finished, lay down in the couch and then went and scrubbed the toilet. There is absolutely nothing worse than puking into a dirty toilet.

I'm home sick today, but DH is the one who is actually sick. I feel like a jerk but he talked me into it. I'm sure I'm no peach when I'm sick but he has got to be the loudest, most disgusting sick person ever. I often have trouble falling asleep and last pregnancy, my NP told me to stop using melatonin, so I've stopped again this time. I lay awake until midnight last night and even when I did fall asleep, DH was so loud that I barely slept at all. I must have looked rough this morning because he told me to call in sick and go back to bed. Now I'm up and determined to at least get some crazy housework done while I'm still feeling good. With that being said, I'm going to turn my ringer up loud and hide my phone.

Usually cooking, but my aunt did teach me to crochet when I was a kid and I still pick it up from time to time. Once we know the sex, I will start making a baby blanket and maybe some hats with the leftover yarn

A little bit bummed out because I had to take so many days off of work this week because my mom, who watches DS, is very sick. Looks like I will be home for the rest of the week. I get that she is sick and I really feel bad for her. I also feel like a fool for not having a backup childcare plan. DH's mother is a selfish and unsupportive B. She does everything to help out brother-in-law and his kid, but does nothing for us. I should just quit my job and raise my own kids.

What's your favorite hobby?
I guess anything exercise related. That's what I would rather spend my free time doing. I used to be into crafts like jewelry making, mask making, and I used to play the guitar. That was back in the day. Now it seems as if those interests have really faded. There's not much that I really truly enjoy doing except for working out and I think that's because it makes me feel so good afterwards and puts me in a better mood.

How are you feeling? My appetite comes and goes...all I wanted yesterday was beef jerky and hot cocoa (paging @revlaurawittman isn't that weird??) I'm also yucky bloated....Other than that I'm good!

How far along are you? 5 weeks 2 days! EDD September 5th.

How are you feeling? I'm doing okay! I had some nausea last night which wasn't fun. The pulling/cramping is decreasing so that's good. Still POAS every morning and seeing a strong positive. Woo!

Doing anything baby related today? Reading my pregnancy books and going on TB!

Rants/Raves/Randoms? I have an appointment tomorrow to check my levels/ultrasound. So excited! In other news it's been pouring cats and dogs all week here in NorCal so my pup can't get a proper walk in

@TheTamedShrew I used the Ameda Purely Yours while working full-time away from DD until she self-weaned at 13 months. I didn't have any complaints but also didn't try anything else. (The Ameda was free through my insurance.) I've heard awesome things about the Medela pumps but I know they're also a bit pricier.

How are you feeling? Tired. The cramping/pulling is intense and I'm having a hard time finding a comfortable sleeping position. I usually sleep on my stomach so I'm trying to make myself not do that.

Rants/Raves/Randoms? It's raining a whole lot in San Diego and people can't drive in the rain. Here's hoping I can make it to work tonight.

@TheTamedShrew you might appreciate this. My husband. Bought be tickets to If/Then for my birthday. We are seeing it tonight. Idina Menzel and Anthony Rapp are in it. I'm super excited!!

How are you feeling? Really good today, even got a workout in!

Doing anything baby related today? Got some signs made up for announcing the pregnancy even though we don't plan on announcing till after 12 weeks! DD is in daycare so I had nothing going on today!

Just found out last night that close friends of ours are expecting their 3rd (a little whoops 6 months after having their second) and she's a week ahead of me... looks like I'll be sharing this pregnancy with someone close to me as well and as dumb as it is I'm kind of bummed I don't get to enjoy it myself! With our first my SIL ended up pregnant with her 3rd who was also a surprise baby (on bc) and my niece was born the day before our daughter. I feel really crappy for feeling so bummed about it!

I use Secret Clinical Strength too...and did so through my pregnancy with DD. Where did you hear it wasn't safe for pregnancy? (I'm just curious...guess I better start thinking about switching, too!)

Nope. Oh, to follow up on my question from a couple days ago, I had plans to have lunch with my friend, so telling her over email would've been right before I went over there, so I made sure to tell her before we went out so we were still in her house. I told her I was worried it would be upsetting and that's part of why I wanted to tell her first. She said that a few months ago it would've been hard but that she was at a good place now, so it was ok. We didn't talk about it a ton. I imagine if she wants to talk about it she'll bring it up, and if not I'll respect that and not talk about baby stuff.

GTKY: What's your favorite hobby? Hiking, camping, backpacking. Growing indoor tropical plants in my bathroom (my plumeria is about to bloom! In winter in the PNW!). Painting, crocheting, drawing. Building terrariums.

@noelani42 it probably depends on which pump you have but I believe most have a "replacement parts" kit that you can buy. You usually switch out the soft plastic parts so the tubes, valves, membranes etc.

How are you feeling? Really, really tired. Just laid down and napped during DS's nap because I was exhausted! Also the usual peeing a ton, boobs hurting, gassy

Rants/Raves/Randoms? I tried the Clearblue weeks estimator test a week ago and got 2-3 weeks (meaning 4-5 weeks pregnant). This morning, I got a 3+, meaning 5+ weeks! I am happy since that means my hcg is increasing!

GTKY: What's your favorite hobby? I used to read a ton, but now I am lucky to catch a good TV show or two before I pass out haha! I do actually really enjoy cooking and trying new recipes. I usually try 1 or 2 new ones a week!

How are you feeling? So-so. I ended up with a migraine this afternoon. I hoped it might just be a headache, but it's getting bad, fast.

Doing anything baby related today? No. Although, I need to get in touch with my doctor. Scheduling is giving me problems. My doctor told me to get my ultrasound at 8 weeks due to my most recent miscarriages. Scheduling is insisting I wait until 2 weeks after the initial appt, which is just an informational appt. That would make the ultrasound at just over 10 weeks. I love this practice, but dealing with central scheduling drives me insane.

Rants/Raves/Randoms? I think I kind of turned the baby related question into a rant...ha!

Favorite hobby? Is shopping a hobby? If so, that's my favorite. I will say that I started doing some photography classes last year and I'm loving it. I hope to turn it into something, someday.

@jilligirl16 I have a bunch of different kinds of orchids, some bromeliads, a plumeria, some succulents, and a pothos that climbs all over the walls. I have a bunch of daylight bulbs, and fan, and several pretty glass things full of water with open tops to increase humidity. It's pretty much an indoor green house. So nice to go in there in the winter!

Rants/Raves/Randoms? Kind of random: I just realized I have an out of town professional development in week 8 of my pregnancy with some of my colleagues. Starting to worry about how I will be feeling for that road trip because that is when I felt sick last pregnancy.

How are you feeling? Tired and in a good mood. A bit twingy/dull achy on the right side.

Doing anything baby related today? I had my doctor confirmation appointment today. We just talked and scheduled an ultrasound for the end of January. My husband and I also bought a book to give to my parents to let them know we're having a baby!

I felt the same way last pregnancy when I knew I was going to be in Italy for my delayed honeymoon. It was scheduled when I was gonna be 6-8 weeks. I vomited the last week badly and the whole plane ride home. I ended up having an aversion to Italy for a long time after it . Lol

How are you feeling? Blah today. Symptoms are really starting to creep in. Bloat, exhaustion (typically full of energy), nausea and sore boobs. It does feel nice in some way to have some symptoms.

GTKY: What's your favorite hobby? Wow. Does work count as a hobby? I do a lot of "extra" research at work and really enjoy it. Other than that, I enjoy exercising and being outdoors. Not very crafty though although I would love to be. Maybe I will pick up crocheting so I can make a baby blanket?!?!
