Trying to Get Pregnant

So over temping...

Talk about getting the run around from your body! I had my Mirena removed mid-November and AF arrived for a normal cycle on 12 Dec. I supposedly hit my fertile window the week of Christmas and I got a positive OPK and temp spike that same week. Now my temp is all over the place. First it's up, then it's down then up again. So frustrating. I'm not feeling any PMS symptoms but no pregnancy related ones either. Not unusual on the pregnancy ones, it took me a long time to nice those with my last two pregnancies. Anyway, anyone else in the same boat or am I just crazy!? BTW I'm supposed to test on Saturday.

    Thank God for Raid.

  • Its probably a little too early to be giving up on temping just yet, my guess is you may be over analysing each temp but its really more about the overall picture. If you stick at it you will probably find it less stressful. If you have a link/pic of your chart that you can post here we can have a quick look at it for you?

  • I don't get how this is even about temping?

Sounds like you hate being in the TWW. Lucky for you here is a whole thread for that!

  • Temps go up and down. It's what they do. Did you expect your temp to be the same everyday?

You've only been trying for a month. Give it a chance.
  • My first month off Mirena was very "mountainous" with my temps. My first cycle off Mirena was also 46 days long. You need a couple cycles to determine what your "normal" is post-Mirena. I know there are hundreds of "I got pregnant the day after my Mirena was removed" stories online, but it's not true for everyone. if I hadn't kept temping, I wouldn't have known my first 2 cycles were anovulatory.

  • FWIW I didn't bother temping the first few months off birth control because they say you really don't know what to expect.  Some are back to "normal" cycles right away and some are frustrated for months even waiting for af to return.  And since you can't predict a cycle one day at a time it can be really frustrating.  If you want to keep temping just know that you'll need a few months to be able to "see" anything like a pattern.
