Gross Q - discharge was greenish

Hi all!

I am currently in the middle of nowhere on vacation, many thousands of miles from home. I have a doc appt the day after I get home (in a week).

Currently 13+1. I've been seeing some of that milky discharge we have been warned about, but yesterday after I wiped I had a greenish, sticky, gelatinous blob about the size of my pinky nail. No odor, no pains, and nothing since (about three hours later i did have some pain but it was whole stomach and im pretty sure gas). Of course I had a minor heart attack and went on to read all the horrible things it can be. Green is , according to the internet, very bad!

Now, mind you, I've always been an overachiever in the discharge dept , even when not pregnant. I've had gelatinous blobs and even cottage cheese like stuff before (but never greenish) and the outcome has always been that it's just how I work dow n there (never any infection). But the green is worrying me. I'm keeping an eye out for more, but if anyone has had this and it was NOTHING... Please chime in. Even if it is something, is a week soon enough for it to be looked at? Ugh.

  • Call your nurses line and ask. They will be better able to answer this. Good luck!

  • Could be a UTI which is quite common; are there any clinics where you are that could fill a script if you called your doc?
  • I agree with pinklady2015 ! I have a uti atm and last week I had a small amount of green discharge as well. Does your pee have a strong scent or does it hurt to pee? Currently taking antibiotics for it. Good luck and I hope it's nothing too serious!
  • Thanks ladies. I got an email response (no phone service ... And no clinic nearby) that so long as it was a one time thing with no other symptoms I was OK to wait until I get home to get checked out. I have absolutely no other symptoms - it had no odor, pee is totally normal. Maybe just a little weird green goo, LOL.

  • Are you in Mexico, maybe it was guacamole?

minions despicable me despicable me 2 gru guacamole

  • I had been having greenish discharge on and off until just this week. My midwife checked for uti and yeast infection, but there was nothing. I had some bleeding early on and she said it may just be from that. She did a pap and it all looked good! It may be nothing, but definitely get checked.
