What are your meds/dosages?

Let's talk medication cocktails! I'm curious because I have historically been a poor responder (with unexplained IF), so this protocol that I got from my RE was MUCH higher than what I experienced before.

They've got me doing 10 days of Gonal-f (150 IU x 2 times a day) and 4 days of Cetrotide. 300 IU a day seemed high, but maybe they know best and I'll respond better this time. Just looking for some warm and fuzzies that someone else is going through a similar protocol.

For my very first medicated IUI I was prescribed follistim 125 iu daily CD 3-8. A couple days we messed up my injections though and I ended up getting double the dosage because we had no idea they overfill the vials and thought the pen didn't administer any medicine when there was still some left in it when we thought it should be finished. However, my RE had told me he would prefer I take too much than not enough! So perhaps then 300 iu is just fine, especially if you are a slow responder.

I responded really well to Clomid so my doc took that into account. However, my AMH was low, so he also put me on growth hormone (omnitrope - 0.7cc each morning). I also took 2 vials of menopur in morning, 75ml of gonal in the evening. After day 5, they bumped up the gonal to 150 and introduced ganirelix. My clinic is big about quality over quantity, and generally likes to see between 6-12 follicles, and told me reached a good threshold once I had at least 4 follicles above 16mm. They mentioned in our class thing that when people had 15-20+ follicles that generally the quality wasn't good. They had me go another day, and a few more caught up too. I don't know if that 4 follicle thing is specific to me or their general guideline though.

I'm on 300 Gonal-F and 150 Menopur, all at once, one time a day. I've had 5 days of that, and continue for now, adding Cetrotide tonight. They estimate my ER will be Monday-Wednesday, depending on how I'm doing.

I have low reserve, and typically had just one mature follicle for my IUIs (with low doses of menopur, bravelle, or gonal-f). I'm also super old (38) and not skinny, so my risk of OHSS is lower.

I was on 300 iu Gonal F, 150 Menopur to start. I'm currently on 250 Gonal F, 225 Menopur and 250 ganirelix

For my first IVF cycle (I have PCOS, if that makes a difference) I did 150 iu Gonal-f and 75 iu Menopur for I think 8-9 days, then added .25 mg Cetrotide for 5 days. I reduced my Gonal-f amount at some point to 125, then 75 throughout the 8-9 days (I don't have an exact record of this as I wrote it on my throw away calendar). I ended up overstimmed and with 14 retrieved eggs.

I hope your cycle goes well and you get lots of good, fertilized eggs!

Thanks, everyone! I'm feeling nervous that it's just going to totally screw me up, and I'll feel like a stuffed turkey. I agree on he quality over quantity. I'd much rather have one great one than a ton that don't turn out.

I haven't done IVF before, but am starting my first cycle next month. I believe I am starting out on 150 of follistim and 75 of Menopur, BUT I have PCOS so my dosage might be lower? Hope that helps--I'm just starting to figure this all out myself. Good luck to you!!!

Follistim - 200 units

Day 6
Follistim - 200 units
Ganirelix - 250 mcg
2 tabs of Folgard

Day 7
Follistim - 200 units
Menopur - 1 powder
Ganirelix - 250 mcg
2 tabs of Folgard

rest is undetermined

Oh geez....I retract my previous post. I just got my IVF calendar and it looks like I am starting with 300 follistim and 75 menopur.
