At my appointment today I saw one of the OBs in my practice who is fine, but not my favorite. She commented that since this is my third and my other two labors were not that long, to be prepared that I might not be able to get an epidural depending on how fast things go. I said "I had one last time even though I was at 8.5cm when I got to the hospital, so I thought as long as it's not time to push I can get one." She said, "Well yes, but if you get all the way to 8.5 I'd tell you just to skip it anyway because you've gotten so far." I moved when I was 20 weeks so this is a new practice for me. My last baby was 10 pounds and though I had zero pain with my epidural, labor was incredibly hard work and I was very very happy I had it. So given that I'm grumpy today, all that ran through my head while she was talking was Charlie in the "Charlie Work" episode of IASIP as he keeps muttering "goddamn b#tch" over and over about Dee. That's kind of how I felt about the OB at that moment.
