What planner do you use/recommend?

I absolutely love planners. I neglected to get one last year and it killed me. What planners do you like to use? I'm looking for one that has month view and then the days in week view (if that makes sense).

Re: What planner do you use/recommend?

  • Oh my god I love planners. I have no answer ... Just looking forward to what others suggest.

  • I've been using the bullet journal method for the past few years and I love it. https://www.bulletjournal.com

  • I use the "At-A-Glance" Academic Planner

As a teacher I like how it has each Month with a tab, and under each tab is the full month view on two pages, and then separate pages for each week.  With plenty of room to write information down.  There isn't any other fancy stuff in the planner which I like as well.  Its very to the point and get it done :)  I plan my school and my life here

I believe they make yearly ones the same way - if you want January to December instead of July to June haha

  • I'm just using a cheapo one from Mead that I got from Target (I like it because it was an academic year rather than Jan-Dec). I work at a different school system than where DD goes, so I HAVE to keep our days off organized, so I know which days she is home with me, and which days I need to find all day care for her.

Last year I ordered one from Etsy -https://www.etsy.com/shop/PlumPaperDesigns?ref=l2-shop-info-name

A lot of teachers rave about the Erin Condrin planners, but I think they are way too pricey (regular planners start around $50) https://www.erincondren.com/lifeplanner

  • I have heard awesome things about Erin Condren planners. https://www.erincondren.com/

MAN! You guys read my mind! I was just thinking about this actually. Are there any cheaper* planners that are similar to Erin Condrin as recommended above?

Just to let you guys know, if you use the above link and sign up I get free entries too. I didn't want to be shady about it and not let that be known.

  • I LOVE my Plumpaper planner (found on Etsy).  Very customizable, and I made mine with month view and then weekly spreads.  It has held up wonderfully.  Similar style to Erin Condren, but less expensive.  Mine cost around $35, which was more expensive than previous ones I had purchased.  It has totally been worth it; I'm 6 months in and it's held up wonderfully.

  • @elenabrent   I tried doing this last year but couldn't remember all the markings and codes!  Does it just get easier with practice?

  • It might not be on the cheaper end, but I've really enjoyed Franklin Planner. I get their insert pages every year... just switch up the designs every now and again.

Yes, and I kind of made up my own system of markers that works for me. I wasn't too rigid with the different symbols, but the overall approach of indexing and how you lay out monthly/daily tasks has really worked for me.

  • This is my third year having an Erin Condren planner. It's like $50/planner but I think it's worth it
  • I've been using a very basic Gallery Leather planner for the past 5-6 years. They're super plain and have enough space on each day to write (for me, that obviously depends on the person), and that's all I need. I get mine at Barnes & Noble for like $15

Just looked this up! Happened to just splurge on a cute notebook I saw at Target today. May have to give this a try.
  • I don't use a planner, but think Passion Planner looks really cool, depending on what you actually want to use it for.

  • I use Microsoft outlook it's on my phone and computer

  • I love planners!! I have so many of them. My favorite is the day designer. It is expensive, but they had some cheaper versions at target which was nice. I'm not sure if those are still available though. I also love the iheartorganizing one on etsy. You need to print it yourself so you either need a good printer or should go to staples or somewhere like that. Definitely a cheaper option though.
  • I love my Erin Condren.I personalize it with billions of stickers I buy off etsy. Lol.
  • I'm another one lusting after an Erin Condren planner but I refuse to spend $50 on it! I'm currently using an "At-a-glance" planner... This has actually resulted in my using the heck out of google calendar/keep a lot more though. My husband loves the Moleskine planners (much smaller than what I prefer).

  • I liked having my apple calendar synced with my email calendar while I was in college but I still always had a physical planner as well. There's something about writing things down and having the ability to cross them off as they're accomplished that just makes me happy. Organization makes me happy. I'd make a kick ass secretary. I am looking at the Erin Condren planners but not sure I could stomach the price. I'm a SAHM, but have commitments outside of the house.
  • I use Erin Condren but not the Life Planner. I don't get any use out of the weekly parts of calendars so I get the Notebook and add the monthly calendar. Also I prefer to have lots of lined paper because i'm a list maker.

  • I have also been using At a Glance for pricing purposes. I'm a SAHM, so it works for our appointments, play dates, whatever else. I'm happy to see so many other ladies still using a physical planner, people look at me like I'm crazy when I pull it out.
  • I prefer to fly by the seat of my pants so no planner for this girl. Just wanted to say that I'm so impressed with the abundance of organized ladies we have here! If I have an appointment I plug it into the calander on my I phone and tell my husband to remind me of other events.
