MAT21 Test: how long for results?

Hi Ladies!! I used the search function but didn't find anything that quite fit what I was looking for. I took my Mat21 test 2 weeks ago (12/21) and am still waiting for results. They told me it could take a while because of it being Christmas week and NYE week. So I'm just wondering...how many business days did it take for your results? And did you get them emailed to you before the doctor called? Thanks and happy new year!

I did my harmony on 12/22 and got it back the following Tuesday and the generic dr called.

I took the Mat21 (QNatal) on 12/18 and received my results on 12/28. I would suggest calling the doctors office to check if the results have come in yet if you haven't heard anything.

I took the Harmony on 12/17 and the results didn't come in until 12/30. I had basically convinced myself of the worst but nope... It was actually the holidays slowing it down. I also had an appointment literally the morning they came in. I'd say call to ask. Fx you get great results.

Did you do the whole genome? That is running more around 2 weeks. I had mine drawn (just regular materniti21 with micro deletion/duplication) on dec 21 (Monday) and received results dec 28 (Monday). Since I'm on staff in the MFM office I was able to write down the fed ex tracking and know it made it to sequinom (sp?) the next day (Tuesday). I had never noticed before my own sample that sequinom uses 2 day fed ex, so it could take 2 days to get there and that would be fine. I had also called sequinom as a professional since we utilize the lab for my mutual patients with MFM, to understand how the holidays were affecting turn around time. Was told sample processing takes place every day, and that shipment turn around times might be problematic. I do believe the limitations here are also medical directors. A medical director needs to sign off on every result, so even if sample can be analyzed etc, the last several steps need human involvement, so that would impact the TAT. Nice thread to start. I searched for one myself after I got my blood drawn.

I would call your doctor and make sure that the sample arrived to sequinom in the first place. But like I said if your doc ordered the more thorough genome testing, I'm told they are taking about 2 weeks.

Mat21 also taken on 12/21 and was called with the results on 12/28. Seems like you should've heard by now. Good luck!

I got the results in a week, but some offices want to tell you in person, so probably worth a call to your doctor to see if the results are in yet.
