Do you guys have a particular website you go to for your weekly/monthly meal plans, or do you just come up with the recipes yourselves?
Now that I have some extra free time on my hands, I'm really trying to get more organized around the house. This includes not stressing so much about what to make for dinner. Ideally, I'd have meals planned for the entire month. I'm going to print out a calendar with what we'll be having for dinner on any given night. Just curious how you guys go about doing it and what's easiest?
@mrsschmity I have a board I pin recipes to and I use my allrecipes.com favorites list. Then I go through the grocery store ad for what's on sale and plan from there.
June 2016 April Siggy Challenge: Reasons my kid is crying
@mrsschmity: I get a lot of mine from How Sweet Eats (https://www.howsweeteats.com/) and Skinny Taste (https://www.skinnytaste.com/). I have both their cookbooks as well. A lot of times, I just google something I want to make and see which recipe looks the best/easiest in the top results. I also use Food Network's site a lot, especially around holidays. And I think about what I have on hand and what meals have similar ingredients too. It's fun once you get some sites/cookbooks you like. I also think it's much more manageable and less stressful when you plan your meals ahead (especially grocery shopping!). One thing I have a problem with sometimes is checking cook/prep times. Sometimes I don't realize when something needs to be marinaded for several hours/overnight.

Thanks ladies! That is helpful. I'm also tempted to break out some of the cookbooks I have hiding in my kitchen and just go through them front to back until I've made every recipe lol

This. But I check my grocery store ad first and incorporate anything I have left over from last week. (Stuff I didn't end up making or using the other half of a bag of tortillas I got last week)

Wednesday is chilli con carne on rice with a salad
Thursday is jacket potatoes with leftover chilli.
Friday starts the new menu as I shop on Thursday each week.
