  • Thanks for sharing! I'll (hopefully) be taking a year sabbatical leave with this LO so I can stay home with both babes. It killledddddd me to go back to work after having DS. Luckily my husband and MIL could stay with him. We dabbled a bit in day care as well, but for the most part can rely on family and feel so fortunate for this. One of the perks of staying close to your hometown, I guess!

I stopped working full time about 6 months before we TTC for the first babe.  I looooved my job but seriously there is no job (for me) that is more rewarding than spending all this precious time with my son while he is still so little.  And I continue to work part time from home so I'm not completely alienated from adult humans!

  • I have a 15 week old, a 6 year old, 8 year old stepson, and 5 weeks pregnant. I got laid off when I was 5 weeks with my youngest. I stayed home until about 8 weeks after her c section. Found a job in town but only lasted a few weeks because to basically pay a babysitter 1/2 my pay wasn't worth it. I'm actually working on starting my own business.
