2nd Pregnancy & kicks

Curious when moms who have had multiple pregnancies felt kicks the 2nd+ time around? I could have sworn I felt the popcorn kicks at 12w3d and also had my Dh feel to make sure I wasn't crazy ... But that seems way too early. I haven't felt anything since (3 days ago).

With my first I didn't feel kicks until >16wks.

Re: 2nd Pregnancy & kicks

  • I'm also 12 weeks along with #2....haven't felt anything yet and not expecting to for a few more weeks.

  • Usually STM's feel a littler earlier, like 14 to 15 weeks.
    Thank God for Raid.

  • No comment on whether you feel them, but are you saying your DH felt them @ 12 w 3 days?
  • I feel flutters every once in awhile and will push the flub down to see if it's going to happen again. I'm a twitcher though, I get weird twitches every where all the time so I really don't think anything of it haha. I think I'm 13w3d and yes I forgot because I'm having baby brain today

  • Nothing here.
  • With my first I felt them around 18wks. Second 17wks. Third 18wks (had anterior placenta). 14wks with my fourth and nothing yet.

  • I felt my son pretty late..around 20 or 21 weeks. Nothing yet with this one but the occasional spasm.

  • I'm almost 14 wks and could've sworn I felt it too, more than once! But it really could be anything from gas to intestinal movements, who knows...
  • I'm 14 weeks and this is my third. I swear I felt something the other day but I haven't felt anything since. I also have a little extra padding. I'm too damn excited to feel the baby.
  • I'm 13 weeks with #2 and the only time I think I maybe feel anything is when I use my Doppler a couple of times a week. But I have no idea if it's really the baby or not. Felt my first around 17 weeks so hoping I feel this one a little sooner :)

  • Whether you felt kicks or not - I won't say you didn't, but what I've seen says 13 weeks is the earliest it's possible, although still unlikely at that early stage.

As for your DH feeling the kicks on the outside - there's no way. It's impossible. Way way too early.
  • I should add - I totally get the desire for it to be real movement at this stage. I could have SWORN I felt flutters at 10+5. But the reality is, it's just too early. Probably gas bubbles or muscle twitches, or things rearranging in there.
  • I'm 14w3d at this point and every time I feel a little something, I can easily enough identify it as something else pretty quickly. As soon as I'm not certain it's something different, then I'll start getting excited.

I was 19 weeks with my first, and I have my anatomy scan this time at 18w5d, so I'm convincing myself that nothing exciting will happen until February. That way I won't be disappointed, and I can be pleasantly surprised if it does.
  • First pregnancy I felt them at 16 weeks. I'm just about 13 weeks and I felt them today!
  • I didn't feel DD until almost 24 weeks last time, so I hope it is earlier! Hope you keep feeling them!
  • Baby #6 here... I usually feel the flutters around 14/15 weeks.
  • Soooo....literally I posted the other day that I hadn't felt anything yet....well that same frickin' day, don'tcha know, I definitely felt the telltale fluttering and could not attribute it to anything other than the little nugget.

    Yay!
  • I don't ever remember feeling that flutter and this is my 4th. Guess I don't pay attention enough.
