Formula babies have a 3 month growth spurt?

My daughter used to eat every 3 hours. Now she's unable to go that long even with more formula. She seems hungrier but is fussier with the bottle. We also went to a size 2 nipple to accommodate her. I thought I heard only breastfed babies go through a three month growth spurt. Anyone formula feeding going through this?

    It could be. All babies have growth spurts. I went through similar situations with both of mine, but for different reasons. DD#1 went through this when she was ready to start solid food. DD#2 went through this because her formula wasn't agreeing with her.

    All babies go through growth spurts, no matter what they eat.
