Image overhaul

Anyone planning on updating their look after baby?!
I feel like going for a whole new hairstyle - colour and cut!
Would also love to freshen up my wardrobe!
Thought it be fun to toss around some ideas and looks! Great distraction whilst waiting for baby's arrival

Re: Image overhaul

  • Pinterest is my friend for that stuff! I definitely want to update my wardrobe. I have really been missing my non pregnant body and can't wait to get on a post baby diet and buy new clothes!!!

  • I didn't buy a lot of maternity clothes this entire pregnancy. I bought a bigger sweater, have only one pair of jeans that fit me, and a few shirts that fit me atm. I decided I wasn't going to care about wearing the same things over and over again until I'm done being pregnant because I am uncomfortable enough as it is...lol. Also, I know I'm only having this one and I hate buying things I'm only going to use for a little while.. So all the money I saved not buying a lot of maternity clothes, I'm definitely going to spend once this baby is out and I've lost the baby weight!! :)
  • I can't wait to just have pants that are long enough. No one makes pants long enough for me so they have all been ankle length the whole time. I don't even care about style at this point. Lol
  • If I could look like I walked out of a Free People catalog, I'd be one happy mama. But...I'm broke. We will see where my style goes haha.

  • I will be happy when my ginormous belly isn't hanging out of the bottom of my shirts. Anything else I can fit into is just icing on the cake.
  • I've seriously considered doing a big change to my hair but always love it long. Coloring is definitely coming my way though. I'm looking forward to getting in better shape then I was before my pregnancy too.

Lol I have to roll my pant legs up a good 3 inches bc no one makes them short enough for me where I live! I feel your pain!
  • I am so happy to see this thread! I have been feeling like a bit of a diva with all of the online looking/Pinterest/idea saving I have been doing. I am totally ready for the transition and new body I am going to have. I am going to work hard to establish my new normal but I can't wait for all of the wardrobe changes!
I am currently into the cute boots, skinny jeans, and some sort of cute top or tunic with fabulous accessories!
  • I already have a hair appointment made. My doctor was really against me coloring my hair during pregnancy and I am so over my hair just being blah.

I'm too indecisive and broke. I know I'll need new clothes, but I dread that shopping trip. After having my son, the last thing I wanted was to put on maternity clothes... then I got pregnant right away. So my sizes are probably astronomically higher than what I'd like to imagine.
As for my hair, I'd love to get a good trim and style... and oh God, a change in color wood be great. But again, way too indecisive and broke. I'm also terrified to let anyone touch my curly hair...

Edit: words suck. x2 (maybe I should proof-read?)
  • I have been growing my hair out, knowing that for delivery and the first few weeks post partum I want a pony tail/messy bun. When it gets long enough to donate (almost there) I am going for a super short look

Love short curls! Always loved tht girls hair from the movie he's just not that into you!
  • I was growing my hair out during pregnancy, and now will probably continue to grow it out since giving birth.  I made a hair appointment for the end of the month, and will just get a trim and a root color touch up.  As far as my wardrobe is concerned, I'm just happy I can fit back into pre-pregnancy clothes now at 3 weeks pp and am enjoying being able to wear some of my pre-pregnancy clothes, without having to continue wearing all maternity stuff at this point.  I still am wearing my maternity leggings and some of my tops, because with BF my boobs are pretty big and many of my pre-preg. shirts would get stretched out in that area if I were to wear them.  I'm looking forward to getting back into the gym and seeing how my body responds to working out again
  • Yes! I keep telling my husband how much i miss wearing stylish clothes. I'm going to buy bellefit and sign up for pure barre to get back in shape. Then shop all the new trends.

I almost forgot how to dress cute lol
  • I'm hoping my hips don't spread more so I need to buy more pants. I dislike shopping for myself so id like to keep the same wardrobe! I have wanted a haircut for awhile but who knows when I'll get around to that! I may ask for a Stitch Fix as a birthday present when the time rolls around :)
  • I was looking though my clothes the other day and I miss them so much!!! I don't want a new look I want my old one back  I have actually decided that I will refuse to go shopping after the baby comes. I'm going to wear what I have that fits me and use my old clothes I love as incentive to get back to the pre pregnant me!
  • I'm just hoping I don't turn into the PJ wearing hermit that I did after my first was born. I honestly did not change out of pajamas for 6mo. I would change, but into another pair of clean jammies. I'm going to buy some cute inexpensive nursing tops and hopefully that will be enough to motivate me to actually get dressed each day. Haha!
