help !

I'm 11 weeks prego. My morning sickness is horrible. Can't get control of it, the only thing I could keep down was apple juice & that has caused a kidney stone . so now I'm on nausea meds, azo and antibiotics. But the azo makes me throw up really bad. Even if I take with food. I Just don't know what to do any more. All I do now is throw up all my medicine and all my food. And this kidney stone is killing me, does anyone know what I can do. Because I just want to give up. Not to mention, I think the antibiotics are giving me a yeast infection :(

I need help, I'm desperate.

Re: help !

  • Call your doctor none of us are really in a place to tell you to stop your dr prescribed meds sadly. They will be able to give you more advice or switch your meds.
Sorry you are going through this but try and hang in there and call the nurse line.

  • Also, use the search function as there's about 500 posts on here about morning sickness. (not to sound snarky, but there is toooonnnssss of info on here!)
  • I agree to call your doctor. If you can't keep any food or liquid down for 24 hours, that's considered an emergency. Good luck and feel better!
  • I agree with PP's. Call your doc. There may be different nausea meds they can try, too. My sickness was so bad I went to urgent care and got an IV of fluids in my system. I felt amazing the next day. The day after, not so much, but at least I knew I got something in me. My doc also prescribed a stronger nausea med (which I personally haven't needed to use since, but there are others out there that you can ask about).

I also started taking b6 pills in addition to my diclegis instead of taking an extra diclegis pill (b6 is a component of diclegis). I don't know if it helped, but I felt decent enough to function and just threw up in the morning and night when it wore off.

What I also did was just take small bites of things. I kept a banana by my bed and took a bite when I was hungry but not enough that I threw it up. Experiment with a food that sounds like you may be able to keep it down (it was bananas for me).

I agree, search "morning sickness" and you'll get more threads you can look for other solutions. I hope you feel better soon.
  • I'm sorry you are feeling so bad. Take it easy, try to rest, it will all be worth it. (Oh and call your doctor if course). Feel better!!!!
  • If this was just an issue of morning sickness I would say use the search function. However you have a very specific set of circumstances and need to be working with your doctor to manage it. For me it helps to remind myself that someday I will feel better, not today and probably not tomorrow, but morning sickness is not forever. Also I've let go of the expectation that I will feel "normal" and "myself". I expect the meds will help me function and be human, but I don't expect to feel 100%.

Again, call your doctor and work with them to manage.

I'm over here just trying to figure out how exactly one "gives up" on pregnancy and morning sickness.

Pretty sure it was just a figure of speech.
  • They can prescribe suppositories... Can't throw those up. ;)
