What job did you work that you'd never work again? Waitressing I was terrible at it, kudos to all those that have mastered the art because thats what it is an Art!! The 1st day I could carry 3 plates on one arm made my 18 yr old life;)
@kcolly32 wow that's a long shift. I do 4 10hr days which means I've got 3 days off and I'm still exhausted. Go you!
@MrsBSharp86 they say call centre work is one of the most emotionally draining jobs you can have!

GTKY- What job did you work that you would never want to work again? I'm with @Jodiggity. Waitressing was absolutely terrible. Being a dishwasher at 15 for a catering company is a runner up.
How are you feeling? Not too bad from a nausea perspective. Cravings have been settling in, though. Yesterday I needed a Frosty, today it's buttered toast and a pita from Pita Pit.

Admissions at a theme park. Luckily that was only for a couple months and then I was moved to a store for the campers making subs and coffee. That was my summer from age 18-21!

GTKY- What job did you work that you would never want to work again? Worked at Forever 21 when I was in college. What a nightmare. The girls were so catty and I hated every minute. The only job I have ever walked out of and I said some choice words on my way out.
How are you feeling? Nauseous when I wake up till about 1 or 2. Not sure how I'm going to deal with this when I go back to work Monday?

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: rant- my parents are treating me like I'm a child and it's just getting on my nerves to the point I was in pain and I started crying thankfully my sister in law saved me to calm down, now I'm the bad guy that's pushing them away
Questions? I've been having a headache since last night and can't get rid of it and I'm scared to have anything for it because I don't want to hurt the baby

Customer service for the bank, was good pay but was not worth all the stress caused by customers and micromanage system that ran the center
How are you feeling? Nauseous from the moment I wake up till I go to bed...not looking forward to going back to work on Monday

I had a job for two days in college--cold call sales it was terrible. Also when I was at a job working for horrible people. That was such an important lesson to never let myself be treated like that again.

How are you feeling? I feel like absolute crap. I have never had nausea like this in any of my other pregnancies. It wakes me up at night. I don't know what the next few weeks are going to be like if this keeps up.
Doing anything baby related today? I'll probably search for maternity clothes when I get downtime at work.

GTKY- What job did you work that you would never want to work again? I worked as a camp counselor at a daycare one summer when I was in school. It was the worst summer of my life. The kids were all spoiled and had lots of behavior issues. Ironically, I was a camp counselor one year for children with special needs that was the best summer I ever had.
@kcolly32 I am on my third 12 today too. It is kind of miserable being tired and have nausea. We can do it!!!

GTKY- What job did you work that you would never want to work again? Retail! I worked for a while at Victoria's Secret and also at limited too. It was awful lol I HATED it!! Long weird hours and rude customers. Props to anyone who works in that field because it is no joke!

@MSUgrad12 DH read Be Prepared - a practical handbook for new dads and really liked it. It's more humor based but also gave some good information. It might help to lighten his outlook on fatherhood a bit.

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Yesterday I had a really scary heart episode. Sorry if this is TMI, but after having a bowel movement, my heart started racing well over 100 beats per minute. Felt like I had just gotten done working out even though I hadn't. I got dizzy and my vision was going in and out and I felt hot. Took about an hour to go away. I had chest pain the rest of the day too, although that may not be related because I ate pizza, which tends to give me really bad heartburn. Anyone else get something like this while KU?

GTKY- What job did you work that you would never want to work again? I worked for a small town newspaper while in college. It was the last time I ever worked as a reporter. They basically told me everything I learned in college was stupid and to write articles like a novel. The quality of the paper sucked and the people who owned it had no media ethics or an idea of how a paper should be run at all. I'll never work for a small paper again. I prefer corporate-owned ones.

Bit of a rant, asked my family doc to send me for an early US but she thought it wasn't necessary so I don't have one booked till Feb 4th. Then I found out today from my fertility doctor, however, that I actually should be getting one at 7 weeks. Going to bug my family doctor this week in hopes I can get in sooner - I am going crazy wondering if anything is alive in there!
@bookhousegirl I hear you! On the days I feel ok physically, I am so anxious thinking it's a bad sign. Wish I could just relax!

GTKY- What job did you work that you would never want to work again? Telemarketing! I sold credit cards. It was the worst. One day I came in to work and realized I could not do it anymore and quit on the spot.
How are you feeling? A little nauseous. DH wants to go to dinner tonight and nothing sounds good... Except chocolate frozen yogurt. Lol

GTKY- What job did you work that you would never want to work again? JC Penney... My main job was cleaning fitting rooms for 8 hours a day... The most annoying and disgusting job ever. And I worked in infant childcare before that!
Sorry to hear about your headache ... you can take Tylenol but that's it! Bummer, I know. It does nothing for me. Try drinking lots of water!

GTKY- What job did you work that you would never want to work again? I worked for a major coffee company for almost two years. I still have stress dreams about rude customers. (Be nice to your baristas!)
How are you feeling? Mostly tired. Moody. Hungry, but only for specific things.
Doing anything baby related today? I worked earlier and it wiped me out so much that my only plan for the evening is pizza and couch time.
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I've been really unhappy with my body awhile. I had a baby last September, and I only gained weight in the belly. I was back to pre-baby clothes by the time we left the hospital. But then I had a seriously rough six months and lost a tremendous amount of weight. My lowest was 108, which is not cute on a 5'8 frame. I've been working hard on getting healthier, and I don't look as scary to myself as I did before. Prominent ribs, boobs and butt shrunk. I'm really hoping that pregnancy helps fill me back out.

GTKY- What job did you work that you would never want to work again? Finance management at a car dealership. It was soul-sucking, kept me away from my family for ridiculous hours at a time, and full of people that you couldn't trust. So glad I went back to my roots.

GTKY- What job did you work that you would never want to work again? Retail! I worked at jcpenneys and a family owned retail shop and both were horrible experiences.
How are you feeling? Right now a bit tired, just did a 30 minute low impact workout.
Doing anything baby related today? I had lunch with a close friend today and got to tell her I was pregnant. She sat down and was like I think I'll have a beer, i'm not pregnant anymore (has a 4 month old). Not missing a beat, I was like you're not, but I am. The look on her face was awesome!!! She set me up so well! lol. I was looking forward to seeing her (she has children) and picking her brain a bit about being pregnant. She's only the second person we've told, so that was exciting.
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Feeling good, so far. Just really anxious for our first appointment on Tuesday. I believe it will just be the initial testing/consultation appointment (no u/s), but I look forward to having the pregnancy confirmed!

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: looking forward to my first appointment but getting it scheduled was a Hassel. It isn't until the 19th and now work it giving me a hard time because that is around audit time. I thought about going to a new Dr but I have been with my awesome Dr for years with all of my pregnancies.
GTKY-WHAT job did you work that you would never want to work again? Call Center. My anxiety levels were off the charts. Definitely not fun having people curse or yell at you.
How are you feeling? Nausea has calmed slightly. But I'm not sleeping at all and tiiiiired.

I saw babies given the wrong bm, teachers sleeping in the rooms and kids getting called devil child and b*tch. Management didn't give a care at all. I would never again work at that particular center again.
How are you feeling? So-so. One of my jobs is really active/physical, and I was worried to work since I was feeling gross/nausous/tired. But I actually felt better running around than I do wallowing on the couch.

Questions? Are you all really eating your steaks medium well? The restaurant we went to tonight had an awesome looking steak for 2 on the menu that we wanted, but what would be the point if we had to have it cooked that much? To me, that's just a waste of a good steak. I can't wait to get to my first appointment and ask the doctor about this. I miss my medium rare steak!
GTKY- What job did you work that you would never want to work again? Retail. The pay is terrible, people can be so rude, and I hated spending my holidays and weekends working, watching people enjoy their leisure time with family and friends when I couldn't.

God I hate myself for even saying this but I can't think of any? All my jobs have been related in some way to science, which is my actual career now, I've been very very lucky.
A lower one on the list: I was a teaching assistant for an auto tutorial, intro to biology for non science majors class - that's a class with no actual teachers, for people who are only trying to fulfill a science requirement - talk about lack of enthusiasm!
