Need help! Name poll!

I am having a baby girl via c section on the 15th. I've had two names picked out this whole pregnancy and I just kept telling myself it would come to me which one I would choose. I love both names so much I've tried blending them and I end up hating each try. So I'm asking for help now. Which of the two names would you pick or sounds better. Winter Anne Marie or Makiyah Lynne Marie? My 5 year old son likes the name Winter and my mom loves the name Makiyah. I love then both and can't decide.

Winter for sure. I'm dyslexic when I read makiyah, I heard macaque-ya and thought of the monkey in mind. It's hard to read unfamiliar spellings and such for me.

Ya Makiyah is way to difficult. That would cause a lot of pain in school. No teacher would say it right, no one will spell it right. Winter is by far a better choice. It is different and unique without being impossible to say or spell.

I think I'm the only one that doesn't like seasons as names (don't like summer or autumn as names either). But makiyah is the name of my best friend's dog so I think of a German Shepherd mix when I see that name. She pronounces it muh-ky-uh, but I'm not sure how you're intending it to be pronounced.

Makiyah is confusing for me. it is a pretty name but the spelling gets to me.

I like the name makiyah better but I don't like it spelled like this... The ones I know are spelled Makiah, or Mykiah. The y is very unnecessary.

Not really sure how you're wanting to pronounce Makiyah... I can form a guess, but lots will butcher it.

I vote for Winter as well but it's a tad weird to name someone after the season they were born in IMO. It's like naming a girl born in June, June, or a boy born in August, August...

But I am also naming my daughter Milani and have so many people asking how to pronounce it and making weird faces (oh sending weird emojis lol) ... Anyways .. Go with what YOU love. You may not know until you see her. I am also having a c section on the 15!!! Good luck to you ❤️

PS - my name is Jenny and my whole life people have also spelt it like Ginny OR have called me "Genie" or "Jeanne" and I have such a simple name. Go with your gut and if Makiyah feels right then it will be worth it to have to correct people forever lol or if it's Winter then go with that!
