I had a semi-similar experience and unfortunately it didn't end well for me. I actually never saw a heart beat but since the baby measured at 6w1d they said it could be too early to see it and to come back in a week. They checked my levels that day and my hcg was around 68,000 when they checked them 4 days later it went up but only to about 75,000. A week after my first ultrasound they did a second ultrasound and my gestational had continued to grow but the baby still measured 6w1d and there still wasn't a heart beat.

I'm sorry your in such a crappy position. I hope it turns out better for you.

I am sorry for the potential loss. I have a friend whose baby's HB was low, less than 99 and growth was slow albeit the baby grew for some time, HB even increased some... but always slow and eventually the babe passed, over a month if I recall correctly, then it took repeated treatments until she was fully on the road to recovery. Most of my losses were relatively quick (no HBs) but this one is long. Not easy, but the way it is.
