Pregnancy After Multiple Ectopics

Hello Everyone!
I'm new here and this is my first discussion! I am looking to hear experiences from ladies who have suffered multiple ectopics. I have had 1 ectopic in each tube and my husband and I are TTC naturally one more time before pursuing other options. (Still have both tubes, btw. Dr. says they are "mis-shapen") Has anyone else had one in each tube and gone on to have healthy babies, naturally or otherwise? Thanks in advance for sharing :)

    This might be a better questions for success after infertility or pregnant after infertility boards. A lot of us still keep up, but it's a specific question so you might not reach someone with that specific issue. GL!

    I have had one ectopic that ruptured and unfortunately lost my L tube. I did get pregnant from the right tube ended in miscarriage sadly ). My right tube is also narrow in a couple places per my HSG. So there is hope. I've heard good things about women who get HSG done and it sort of "flushes/opens up the tubes" and increased chances of pregnancy occur. Definitely see what ur MD thinks. A fertility MD is a good place to start . Good luck!!

    I agree with @W8Nmiracles. Doing an HSG is the only way to know for sure if you'll be able to conceive naturally. Your say your tubes are mis-shapen and after an ectopic pregnancy your tubes can develop scar tissue making it even more difficult for the fertilized egg to travel to the uterus. One other thing to consider is genetic testing as it is believed that there could be chromosomal issues that cause the fertilized egg to implant in the tube. At least that's what my RE told me after my ectopic so I'm doing IVF now.
    Talk to your RE and find out what diagnostic tests or procedures can be done to help you get answers. Make sure you right them down before u go so u don't forget to ask! ;-)

    I had three ectopic pregnancies. After a second HSG the RE determined one tube had a polyp in it and the other had too much scar tissue from prior surgery that natural pregnancy wasn't going to happen. We went on to IVF and had a BFP on our first frozen cycle. Eliminating the need for the tube made it possible. I am now 39 weeks pregnant and am having a csection on Tuesday. It is entirely possible to go on and have healthy pregnancies after multiple ectopics.

    I have had two ectopics. One in each tube I have moved onto IVF.

    Thanks for all of the info! HSG is definitely in our near future, as I have heard the same about the flushing of the tubes and my ob/gyn suggested it, as well as meeting with the fertility dr. @Wicked4589 that is awesome and congrats! IVF is overwhelming for me sometimes so it's good to hear such positive news about it  :)

    IVF is very intimidating and scary. Our clinic make it so easy for us and while the giant box of meds is scary, it is over before you know it. :) looking back now, it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. You just become immune to it.
