Hi Ladies! My second beta confirmed low progesterone.

I'm starting suppository supplements tonight...and from what the nurse described, they don't sound awesome. But I'll do anything to help this pregnancy stick so here goes!
Anyone else using progesterone suppositories? Any words of caution or advice?
Also, has anyone used progesterone suppositories in a past pregnancy that resulted in a happy ending? The only other person I know who had a similar circumstance ened up miscarrying and I don't want that to be my only example!
Trying to stay positive though everything I read on the internet about low progesterone is pretty melancholy. I guess my first step should be to stop reading things on the internet...!
Re: Progesterone Suppositories?
awful insomnia. This time I'm taking it in the morning and have been slightly restless but that's it.
It's not fun but it's worth it. Good news is they changed the applicators so it no longer makes the horrible queef noise it used to lol! Some people wear panty liners with them but I haven't had to. Feel free to ask me any questions!
If you don't mind me asking, where your progesterone levels initially low with your son? Is that the reason you were advised to start the Crinone?
I just started mine yesterday after my level came back at 10.4 on 4w6d. I'm having it checked again next week, so I'm really hoping it's up where it should be. Hoping you have a good response as well.
IVF so I've been on them for a few weeks even before BFP. They are not the most fun, but I've gotten used to my routine.
I put mine in at night and wear a panty liner. My side effects have been insomnia and initally I broke out on my face and since I never get zits this was probably the most alarming. I'm gotten accustomed to doing at home sheet masks from Sephora and now everything is fine.
Interesting @foxxytwt that you found taking them in the AM helped your insomnia. I'll need to remember that for next time. Thanks!
My situation is different than yours however, because my husband and I are infertile we had to conceive with IVF. So I was started on progesterone a few days before my embryo transfer even. I need to put in 400mg (4 capsules) morning and 400 mg at night.
They are not so bad at all, but I would recommend sitting still for a good 30 minutes after you put them in and then go to the bathroom. It helps to reduce leakage, but unfortunately depending on the type and how much you use there can be a lot of leakage. Wear panty liners! And keep spare panties with you at all times. And don't worry the leakage is not progesterone, just the stuff used to coat it.
I hope everything goes well for you and that your precious baby sticks there.

My biggest advice is to stock up on pantyliners (Endometrin results in a lot of thin, but chalky discharge that will leave **TMI** crusty white stains in your undies if you don't make sure to wear liners and change them often; Crinone causes a sort of cottage-cheese like build-up that needs to be periodically cleaned out to prevent it from coming out in big clumps) and to be prepared for the feeling of small "gushes" of liquid coming out at fairly regular intervals. You'll probably also get the occasional glob of thicker discharge coming out.
You may also have some irritation, especially if you're using suppositories that use an applicator. If you find yourself spotting from them (a relatively common side effect according to my RE), try inserting them a little lower to prevent them from irritating your cervix so much. The applicators themselves can cause spotting, though, because they scrape a bit as they go in. You can try inserting them without an applicator if that's easier for you, but I found it much harder since those suckers are drier than the Sahara.
Just be gentle inserting them and be prepared for the inevitable leakage that will follow. Other than that, they're really not a big deal.

Based on what my OB has told me, I will likely need them again for this pregnancy since low progesterone in one pregnancy makes you more likely to have it in subsequent ones. (Found out I'm expecting again on New Years, and will call to have a blood draw on Monday!)
Hoping the very best for you!
