1st appoint went well I believe

He's having me do a 2 week follow up. I don't feel like thats normal. Anyone else have this? I did mention my consistent cramps. said they would call me today with my hcg count and to schedule my u/s. I had a LEEP procedure about a year ago and he says I need an u/s every 4 weeks to monitor my cervix until at least 18 weeks depending on whether there is change. And he talked progesterone shots as a possibility since I has preterm labor at 30 weeks. They had a difficult time stopping but finally did with that horrible.magnesium. so maybe he's worried? He told me my uterus 'felt pregnant' so that's good lol I wish I could not worry and relax. But I'm SUCH a worrier

    Not sure about what's normal, but I had a cone biopsy in June and will have the same u/s frequency to check for signs of incompetent cervix. On the plus side, it'll be more opportunities to see LO!

    I had a LEEP in 2012 and with ds I did not need to be seen like that. But I would much rather be on the safer side. Sounds like they took a lot of tissue during your LEEP.

    I had my first ultrasound yesterday, baby measured 6w4d I thought I was 6w3d. We saw the flickering heart beat but he also wants me to come back in another 2 weeks to measure the heartbeat. I'm not sure why since we saw the flicker? Makes me a little nervous but he said everything looked good! So maybe some docs are just more thorough than others.

    I had my first appointment Tuesday which was just a "confirm your pregnant" urine tests, taking blood and talking do's and don'ts. I go back in two weeks for my first u/s. So seems like that would be normal. I then will go every 4 weeks, and I only get one more u/s. They prefer the least amount of u/s possible unless it's medically necessary.

    Same boat here.... My first appt was December 15th and she wanted to see me
    In 2 weeks (we go tomorrow so hopefully I'm measuring over 8 weeks) didn't have to do this with my first pregnancy and it's the same dr.
    I'm very nervous for tomorrow to say the least
    Edit: I forgot to mention on the 15th o was measuring exactly 6 weeks

    Well I'm glad I'm not alone. I don't know anyone except my sister who's had a LEEP before. Maybe he's just a cautious guy. I switched to him midway through my last pregnancy and I really like him. So I do trust him I'm just all antsy. It's 3 and I still haven't gotten a call boooooo lol

    Also the 'your uterus feels pregnant' line had me laughing lol I was like 'weellll that's good news!' I feel less nervous seeing so many people went back 2 weeks later. But it's to see him, and he doesn't do the ultrasounds! They do that on a different floor and all that jazz.

    It sounds OK to me. I had some bleeding in early pregnancy with my daughter and when I went in he did an ultrasound and said the HB looked good, but he wanted me to come back in two weeks to look at everything again. It was fine when I went back. I think some doctors are just more cautious. Also, if he didn't do a dating U/S on you at that last appt, he may be doing that when you come back.
