Too redundant?

I love the name Benjamin for a boy but am afraid it might not sound good with the last name, Benard. Ben Benard too much?

IMO it also depends on how your surname is pronounced, whether the stress is on the first or second syllable? Is it BENard or benARD? Sorry if that's a dumb question!

We say BENard but most say benARD. It could go either way.

In that case, yes. Time to let go of Benjamin.

I feel your pain, h and I loved Shannon, but our last name starts with an N and has three Ns so it was quite a mouthful.
