Where's my glow?!

Who else is wondering when this supposed "pregnancy glow" is going to kick in? I feel like my face is pale, dry, and overall just blah. Don't get me wrong, this is typically how my skin looks in the winter, but with all of the other changes my body is going through, I would like to feel good about my face!

Any tips or products you all recommend? I am very fair, and typically have dry sensitive skin, though I am beginning to get a bit oily on my forehead. I use the simple skin care line and really love it! I don't usually wear makeup, but I would love recommendations for a good brightening serum or tinted moisturizer or something to help me feel a bit less blah. Bonus points for natural products or products that don't break the bank!

  • You mean how my face gets shiny with sweat after I puke? Oh yeah, that's been around for a while.

  • I'm using Rodan + Fields microdermabrasion paste a few times a week. Sloughs off all the dull, dead skin and leaves your face soooo smoooooth! It's a little pricey, but lasts FOREVER. I actually became a consultant to get a 25% discount on all the products and earn a little extra money for baby. My ob approved all the ingredients, but you may want to run it by yours before you try. PM me if you want any more info!
  • I look like death. As far as balancing your skin... try Arbonne. My cousin sells it. She sent me free samples. It's actually pretty awesome.

I wore make up a week ago, people thought I had the "glow". Nope, just didn't want to look like crap for one day.

You mean the greasy shine from my hormonal acne? So much acne. I never had any before pregnancy now I feel like a teenage girl during puberty again. I also don't normally wear makeup with the exception of mascara and occasionally foundation. So I usually have the "no effs given" look and I put some on at Christmas and everyone told me how wonderful and glowing I looked .... my hormones said "go eff yourself" but my mouth blurted out "thanks" with a pissy grin lol
I have broken out like crazy too and not just on my face. I asked my doctor about it on my first appointment and she said the myth is that means it's a boy. We actually found out last week that we're having a boy and that's the first thing that popped into my head.

  • I got windburn, does that count?
  • My grandmother told me I was glowing, I laughed and said that I was too tired to shower today!

My skin is all goofy - hands & belly are dry and face & scalp are super oily. Usually all of me is super oily, so it's different. I normally get a little acne (super super oily skin always) but since BFP it's constant. In fact, I think I have one zit that has been hanging out since week 4, lol. I'm still in the no f***s given group though. Not going to put makeup on, so deal with it.
