Don't feel pregnant?!

I'm 6w1d and other than sore boobs, bloat, extreme hunger, peeing all the time, insomnia, I really don't feel pregnant. Any other ladies experiencing this?

Yup. I imagine the majority of us feel that way. Seeing a HB and/or growing belly in a couple months will help.

  • @Kristin712 Can't wait for that!!!
  • Those sound like pretty decent symptoms though. I agree with @Kristin712 seeing the ultrasound is amazing. Just wait until those kicks start.
  • I am feeling the same way. I'm pretty tired but I'm working and going to school so not sure that would really be considered a symptom. Not that I'm complaining. I think once we hear the heart beat my mind will be at ease a bit.

  • Yep same here! Can't wait for an u/s hopefully it will feel more real then.
  • I have the exact same symptoms as you do
And I also feel like I should be feeling more. Right now I'm hoping for some morning sickness ;) I bet I'll regret ever saying that once/if the morning sickness is actually here
  • I feel the same! I had IVF and am on meds that I thought caused me to bloat, but I have lost 3 lbs of water weight this week and am concerned that it's bad! I'm a nervous wreck and can't wait to see the u/s in 6 days to make sure it's all good in my belly. But, I truly am just a bit more tired, but it's winter in Michigan and I am prone to mild Seasonal Affective, so who knows.

  • I had intense breast tenderness for about a week and dry mouth for a few days. I've had some very mild cramping. I hate to call it cramping because it just feels uncomfortable so maybe it's bloating. But have had that for a few days recently. I'm 5 weeks today and my breast tenderness has subsided. Sometimes it shows up a little more at night. Nipples still a little tender. I don't know, it's driving me crazy because I feel like the decrease in symptoms is a bad thing? These next 4 weeks until the US are going to be very tough for me. Anyone else have symptoms that were really strong and now a little weak?
  • @Ekoutie my symptoms were a lot stronger before and have subsided significantly! It worried me also. They seem to be more come and go now.
  • @Allienagle so good to hear someone else in the same boat! I've been driving myself crazy. I just keep telling myself this is normal and just relax. But it's so hard. Thank you for at least making me feel I'm not alone. This is my first, so I have no idea what's going on....

  • Same here... I hate waiting for that first ultrasound to really know you are pregnant! (lol not that we aren't but it's nice to see). I had MAJOR bloat with DD up until 8ish weeks, that was my 1st clue I was pregnant. This time, no bloat. Sore nipples lightly (not even the whole boob) and that's about it. I am a fitness instructor and still going on teaching classes every day and feel completely normal. Sometimes I have to remind myself I am pregnant (4 tests confirmed)

  • I am glad to read I'm not the only one worried about a lack of symptoms. I do feel a bit bloated, but that could just as easily be from the Thanksgiving dinners and holiday cookies as anything lol.

My boobs feel a little sore today, but then nothing else. I had wicked MS with my previous two pregnancies, so I'm both wishing for and against getting it again. Silver lining to the inevitable, I suppose!

  • @allyall10 I was on an injectables only cycle and I too have lost weight (4 pounds) since finding out I was pregnant almost 2 weeks ago. I have to think it's water weight from the medications, but it also has me a little worried too. My only symptom is sore boobs but those wax and wane and were around immediately after O due to the progesterone suppositories I've been taking. I have bumped up a new cup size, though, but I'm hesitant to buy more than one new bra at this point!

  • I think it's weird that "frequent urination" is a sign of early pregnancy. That's the only symptom I have right now and feel like it's probably because I'm drinking a freaking gallon of water every day!!
  • Some people are just lucky not to have any of the more unpleasant symptoms. With my first I felt completely normal until 8 weeks when exhaustion took over and I was in bed by 5pm every night. Other than being exhausted from weeks 8-10, I had nothing else. With this pregnancy, my boobs hurt a little, and I've had very mild dizzy spells a couple of times when I first found out, but as of right now, I feel completely fine.
  • @riveridgional Thank you for letting me know I'm not the only one. I was/am so worried. Larger boobs here too, same as with DS. Other Than that, not much.

  • This is my second and I do not feel pregnant at all. My first I had horrible boob pain, and was so tired. This time nothing absolutly nothing, it is making me worry. I got super sick from 6.5 weeks on with my first so we will see what next week brings.

  • @allyall10 No problem. I had my second ultrasound today, and was told everything is going great. We even got to see the heartbeat, which was amazing. My doctor was not concerned with the weight loss, so hopefully that helps you worry a little less since I'm sure your doctor won't be either!

  • I'm not really having any symptoms either (I'll be 6w in two days). I've had food aversions a couple of times but that's about it! With my first two babies I remember being super tired and having a crampy/achey feeling on and off the first few weeks, and MS started between 6-8.
  • I was so happy to see this post because I've been feeling the same way. I'm tired and thirsty and have some food things (I follow a mostly paleo diet but now I can't even think about steak and I'm craving grilled cheese), but other than that I feel fine. I'm 6w1d and I've heard from a lot of women that their MS didn't kick in until this week, so I'm just trying to appreciate every day that I feel good.

So glad to see there are others feeling the same!
  • I felt pretty un-pregnant until yesterday. OOOF. I now FEEL pregnant. And I wish I didn't. My toilet is my best friend.

  • It's so good to hear others feeling the same thing! This is my first pregnancy, so I have no comparison. I keep taking tests to make sure I'm still pregnant. (I've taken 6 so far, and really have no reason to think I've lost the baby). I've had sore breasts on and off, one dizzy spell and have been tired, but no MS yet, which makes me very nervous. I'm dying for my first doctor appointment to confirm everything but I have to wait until January 8 :(
  • I'm feeling the same way.. My only symptom is being super sleepy! I'm on progesterone and still don't have any other symptoms. I can't wait until my ultrasound!
  • This is my second as well and other than slightly sore nips, little bloat and super hungry nothing feels different.  Just am trying to trust that everything is OK.

  • Same here. Maybe a little more tired & barely nauseous a couple of times... But other than that round ligament pain is my only symptom that I might be pregnant. Felt the same way with my son so that's what's keeping me sane :)
  • Glad I'm not alone in this concern! I'm 5 weeks and have slightly sore boobs that seem slightly bigger (ha, maybe wishful thinking though), feel bloated (which could be due to holiday foods), peeing a little more but not getting up in the middle of the night or anything. No nausea, no fatigue. Tiny twinges in my uterus which my Midwife said is fine. I guess I'm just nervous but the midwive said I may get morning sickness and fatigue in the coming weeks
  • This.is.me except I'm only 4 weeks and 2 days.
  • I have sore (huge) boobs and nothing else! And my boobs are always sore, so I feel completely normal. I am anxious to see the heartbeat too, but until then I am going to assume everything is going well and that I'm just lucky!

  • I'm glad I found this board... I am feeling the same way. It has me so concerned. I'm 5 weeks 4 days and seems like the sore boobs have kinda dwindled away. I'm still tired and peeing a lot, but I was concerned something was wrong. I'm hoping everything is still good.

  • I think I posted on here a few weeks ago- I am now almost 8 weeks and still feel pretty fine. Definitely bloated (stomach really sticks out after eating), but I've also been eating not the best with the holidays. And feeling tired most days, especially mid afternoon. I never had sickness with DD1 and I remember earlier in the pregnancy saying to DH "I wouldn't know I was pregnant if I didn't know". I can't remember around what week that was. I kept a weekly journal of how I was feeling, anxious to look at that (I am out of state at my parents still for the holidays). Can't wait for ultrasound in a few weeks!!!

  • I can't say I am the same, but sometimes I wish I had no symptoms. I am naseus 24-7. It's awful. My boobs hurt so bad walking is painful. I can't stay out of the bathroom. I'm just thankful to have a little one growing in me so I hate yo complain. I'll go through anything to have a healthy baby :)
  • I am now almost 9 weeks, and only have sore boobs, and fatigue. Maybe once in a blue moon a wave of nausea but other than that I feel perfectly normal, no cravings either. Had my ultrasound at 7 weeks 5 days and there was a healthy bean with a heartbeat, so I will definitely enjoy this not being sick all the time pregnancy haha, was pretty sick with DD.
Hope this helps someone with no very slight symptoms like me:)
  • Well you're feeling more symptoms than me! 5+4 along and Just tired here. No sore boobs, hard to say if I'm actually peeing more often or just drinking more water since I know i should be, no nausea. Absolutely cannot wait for my appointment for some sort of confirmation! So anxious until then!!!

  • I've felt basically "normal" the last few days, and it is a little disconcerting. Just constipation and bloating, but even not pregnant I'd likely have those after the stuff I ate over the holidays! I try to remind myself that some women don't even know they're pregnant this early on. Still, I wish I could get confirmation that everything is progressing in there!
  • Whew, glad I am not alone! I do have some symptoms but they are mild. I think I will feel better after my first ultrasound. I think it's normal to feel worried until you have proof that everything is okay. :)
