I went in today for cycle monitoring. I have an 18mm follicle and they are triggering me tomorrow, for IUI on Wednesday. My clinic is closed on Xmas eve for 2 weeks so I'm wondering if they're just rushing me a bit this cycle. 18mm seems a bit on the small side. I might not even be at 20mm when I trigger tomorrow.

@laurenlalap The day before my trigger my largest follicle was 19mm. I think once you take your trigger, which also makes the follicle grow, you should be fine by Wednesday. The follicle grows 1-2mm per day. GL and FX for you!!

@laurenlalap I went in for monitoring today and my biggest follicle is also 18. I'm triggering tonight and doing IUIs tomorrow and Wednesday, with the expectation that I'll ovulate Wednesday morning. Looks like we are in the same boat! GL!
It drives me crazy that my clinic triggers 24 hours prior to IUI, not 36. Everything I've read says 36 hours prior is optimal.

@Drove2u had my second IUI this AM also, we are on the same cycle! Feeling like I'm def ovulating today. A lot of pelvic pressure and sore ovaries. FX for this one for the both of us!
@kh87 yay!! So your beta is on Jan 4 too? My ovaries are very sore today. I'm also a bit sick with a cold so I've been in bed most of the day. Usually after an iui I go running and do yoga and errands and all this stuff and well that hasn't been working. Figured let me try something different this time and just take it easy. And being under the weather helps with laying in bed too.
Well ladies, it looks like this month isn't our month either. I just scheduled my 6th iui for January but I did find out my day 21 progesterone levels were 18.7! Maybe next month it'll happen. Good luck ladies
@Drove2u yep beta is 1/4!! My ovaries are super sore today too. Bending over sucks. Soaking in the tub now and taking Tylenol. I'm doing the opposite, my last round I layed around after IUI and this time I was up running all over the place

Drama drama drama this morning at the clinic. I have a 21mm follie but not much else. The first doctor I saw told me to take the Ovidrel home and wait for a call as my estrogen is still a bit low and they want to wait and see what today's BW shows. When I left the pharmacist told me I either take the shot now or never as it needs to be done 24 hours prior and they're closed after tomorrow so if they want me to do IUI it would have to be given at the clinic right then and there. I go back and speak to a second doctor who said everything is great and I can take it now. Afterwards I heard him discussing me with the first doctor. They were not in agreement at all! I ended up taking the Ovidrel shot but now I'm thinking things aren't quite optimal and had the clinic not be closed starting xmas eve I would likely be doing IUI later in the week, not tomorrow.
... Sorry for the long vent! I'm still remaining optimistic.

Day 17 of my cycle, 2dpiui. Feeling 10,000x better this cycle than last. DH and I managed to time BD for sat night and I def ovulated Monday, which was my IUI day. BD again last night as a "bonus" per RE. Last cycle I felt the IUI was performed too late. I really felt I had already ovulated. This time not having any of the severe ovary pain for the entire week after ovidrel like I had last time. Also this time I've started progesterone capsules right away, whereas last time they didn't start until a week after IUI. My prolactin is also down because last cycle no one realized I had a prolactin issue. Feeling optimistic and really having a good feeling (today anyway) about this cycle. Besides craving everything in sight I really don't have any symptoms at all!
I'm still waiting for my 3rd IUI...thought it would definitely be this week. I had to switch from Bravelle to Gonal this month and was told on Monday that I'm barely responding to the new medication. So frustrating! Anyone else had this happen? I had to increase my dosage to 2 shots/day, so hoping to get some movement when I go for another appointment tomorrow. GL to everyone who is already in their TWW!

I had my IUI #2 today. My estrogen was more than 400 and my DH had 67 million sperm with 90% motility.

I go back on Saturday to see if I need the trigger shot and then the IUI should be on Monday or Tuesday. I'm very nervous but hearing everyone else's story helps me out.

Question ladies, What kind of symptoms do you have when you take the Pregnyl injection? I have my IUI today but not sure how to tell if I'm ovulating or not.
@PCOSbaby I am very sorry for BFN. Take good care of yourself.
Jlowen2 I had the trigger shot only once. the only side effect was bloating for me but I think it is more related to HCG hormones than ovulating. I guess the ovulation would feel the same way you normally feel when ovulating. I was little worried/obsessed whether I ovulated or not. I had my progesterone tested to be sure of my ovulation. the doctors seem very confident that you ovulate around 36 hours after the shot. Try not to worry about it GL and FX !
Well I think I am barely going to make the cut this month to be in this groups. RE seemed to think follies will be ready to trigger on Wednesday the 30th and hopefully IUI on NYE. FX for everyone here!

Exciting news today! Had my IUI done yesterday and went in again to check if follicle was ruptured and it was! Now TWW! Is anyone else taking progesterone during their tww? This is my first time taking it.
Hi ladies! Good luck to everyone that had a December IUI. I will be doing my first IUI in January, started the Letrozole yesterday (Day 3-7). I am kind of nervous, and reading this thread is helping me know what to expect for sure.
Me: 28, DH: 30 Married July 2014 DX: Severe MFI- 3 failed IUI's, IVF #1 Egg retrieval June 4th 2016, 5 day transfer- BFP Baby Boy! EDD 2/25/2017. Our sweet miracle Carter Bennett arrived 2/12/2017 6 lbs, 2 oz 19 inches. Surprise BFP!!! Baby Girl due 10/1/2018.
@Jlowen2 I'm also taking progesterone during my tww (specifically Endometrin).
Just a quick rant - I changed REs a few months ago because I didn't like how my first RE did things (I felt like a number instead of a patient, pretty much never saw an actual Doctor, and they had a system where whenever you call you had to leave a message and wait for them to call you back - so annoying!). Turns out my new RE is joining the practice where my old RE was. So bummed! I love the way my current RE does things and the treatment feels very personalized. I'm just really hoping that continues since the other practice does things so differently.
BFN for me. It stings even though I had a feeling but I'm ready for my next cycle.
This was only my second cycle with IUI and additional meds, Letrozole and Ovidrel. I did a few months of Clomid before IUI. Have those of you with more experience noticed that it changed your cycles? Last month I was a little late and this month, I'm early. Not "supposed" to start until later in the week but it's looking like AF will be here tomorrow (spotting and horrible cramps today).

@Drove2u yep beta is 1/4!! My ovaries are super sore today too. Bending over sucks. Soaking in the tub now and taking Tylenol. I'm doing the opposite, my last round I layed around after IUI and this time I was up running all over the place

When I left the pharmacist told me I either take the shot now or never as it needs to be done 24 hours prior and they're closed after tomorrow so if they want me to do IUI it would have to be given at the clinic right then and there.
I go back and speak to a second doctor who said everything is great and I can take it now. Afterwards I heard him discussing me with the first doctor. They were not in agreement at all!
I ended up taking the Ovidrel shot but now I'm thinking things aren't quite optimal and had the clinic not be closed starting xmas eve I would likely be doing IUI later in the week, not tomorrow.
... Sorry for the long vent! I'm still remaining optimistic.

I had my IUI #2 today. My estrogen was more than 400 and my DH had 67 million sperm with 90% motility.

Jlowen2 I had the trigger shot only once. the only side effect was bloating for me but I think it is more related to HCG hormones than ovulating. I guess the ovulation would feel the same way you normally feel when ovulating. I was little worried/obsessed whether I ovulated or not. I had my progesterone tested to be sure of my ovulation. the doctors seem very confident that you ovulate around 36 hours after the shot. Try not to worry about it

Just a quick rant - I changed REs a few months ago because I didn't like how my first RE did things (I felt like a number instead of a patient, pretty much never saw an actual Doctor, and they had a system where whenever you call you had to leave a message and wait for them to call you back - so annoying!). Turns out my new RE is joining the practice where my old RE was. So bummed! I love the way my current RE does things and the treatment feels very personalized. I'm just really hoping that continues since the other practice does things so differently.
This was only my second cycle with IUI and additional meds, Letrozole and Ovidrel. I did a few months of Clomid before IUI. Have those of you with more experience noticed that it changed your cycles? Last month I was a little late and this month, I'm early. Not "supposed" to start until later in the week but it's looking like AF will be here tomorrow (spotting and horrible cramps today).
Are you going to start a new IUI cycle ? I am hoping to get my second IUI in January.
