Today I went to Babies 'R Us, to purchase a pack n play that Amazon has on sale (they price match). It's one that I got from a very popular baby list, and has nearly perfect reviews on Amazon (hundreds of them).
However, when I got there in person, I was floored by how flimsy it seemed. Not only the actual structure, but the accessories too. Everything seemed very cheaply made, and when I compared it next to several others it just didn't seem like the quality was "five star" as Amazon had led me to believe.
I'm not trying to start a specific playard debate, so I'm not listing the brands or styles here. It's more like... I'm just shocked at how different the product looked online compared to in-person, and how this has me second guessing EVERYTHING on my list!
Has this happened to any of you yet?
Anything you have learned from planning online vs in-person, that we should look out for?
Re: Second guessing registry items
For large money purchases, I'm more comfortable being able to get a general idea of what I like in the store prior to registering if at all possible. Strollers are good to get your hands on first.

The first time we went with a lot of Graco brand items. I would do the same this time around.
