Bottles

Which bottle are you using? How many ounces does it hold and how many ounces are you giving LO in one feeding? I have the 4 oz Avent bottles and we will be graduating soon. Also has anyone changed their nipple size yet? We are still using 0+ and since LO downs the bottle fast enough as it is I'm reluctant to change nipples.

    Right now I am using the Tommy Tippee with the size 2 nipples. She's still only taking 4-5oz every 2-3 hours. A few weeks ago she wouldn't finish her bottle because of the small nipple size but once I changed it to the 2 she was happily finishing her whole bottle. Pediatrician said it shouldn't take more than 15mins to finish her bottle. Maybe talk to your pedi if you're unsure about changing the nipple size just yet!

    Munchkin latch. I can fit 5 oz in the smaller and 9 in the bigger although that's not even close to necessity for us. He's super happy with 5 oz oz BM at each sitting. We also switched to the stage 2 nipples... Love them!!!! He used to take forever to finish a bottle and would get frustrated. It's so much faster now.

    We graduated to the larger avent bottles as he's now taking 5-6 oz per feeding. As for nipples we still use the 1 size for most. Sometimes the size 2 that came with the bigger bottles. I don't notice much difference between them honestly.

    We use the 8 oz Dr.Browns bottles. We have the normal ones and the wide neck. We've tried several other brands (Tommy Tippee, Latch, and Avent) but we always go back to the Dr.Browns. There are a lot of parts so they're a pain in the ass to clean, but oh well! She still uses the 0+ nipples too. It usually takes her anywhere from 10-15 minutes to drink 4-5 oz.

    Playtex Vent Air are bottles are my favorite. They're so good a gassy baby. I use those, Tommee Tippee 8 oz bottles and Avent 9 oz bottles. We use the size 1 nipples that came with the bottles. I haven't switched to size 2 yet

    I'm using doctor brown. It holds up to 8 ounces. We're still mostly doing 4 ounce bottles. Once in a while LO will still be hungry and we'll make another 2 ounce bottle but it doesn't happen often enough to warrant making 6 ounce bottles. I don't really see the point in switching nipples to be honest. I probably won't unless he starts showing signs that he's frustrated with the flow.

    LO is 16 weeks. Breastmilk only.Playtex Vent Air. The best. I nurse 6-7 times a day. He gets 2 bottled pumped a day. Usually only 4oz a time. We are still using 0-3 slow flow.

    Lo is 15 weeks. We use the dr browns bottles, because LO still requires a preemie nipple... he has such a strong suck, that even with level 1, he can finish 5oz in minutes. I'll go back to work next week. I'm planning on leaving 5oz bottles of BM, since he usually doesn't seem completely satisfied after 4oz. I'm hoping 3 5oz bottles will be sufficient for 8 hours. Luckily lo will be with my MIL and I'll be leaving some frozen milk in her freezer, just in case.

    We used Avent when I was still BFing but switched full time to Playtex Vent Air when I stopped.  I've loved them with both kids.  DS2 gets 4-6 oz depending on when he last ate but recently is getting more 6 ounce bottles. 

    ETA: He is 19 or 20 weeks...I can't remember lol and size 2 nipples.  DS2 is a super silly/lazy eater and will take 45 minutes to finish a bottle with a slow nipple because he is too busy giggling.  He also gets frustrated with the slow flow by now.

    Gerber Naturals, 6oz, still on the 0+ nipple. We also use the Munchkin Latch bottles with a size 1 occasionally.

    Dr Browns. He eats 6oz every few hours(2/4). We are using the step up, Level 2 nipple, since before thanksgiving.

    We use Muchkin Latch. I have the small bottles that hold 4oz (I only have them because they came in a set I bought on sale, otherwise I htink they're a waste of $$) and the large ones that hold 9oz I think? We're still using size 1 nipples. Baby girl is 4 months old and takes 4oz of breast milk. I'm not sure how long it takes for her to finish the bottle since hubby and my MIL are the only ones who give her the bottles. I nurse her when I'm home..
