  • @Stormiewinter yikes! Good to know.
@smushi it was a long day and i was overdue for something to eat.

I have a scheduled dr appointment early next week. I'll bring it up just so he knows. And if it happens again, I may just head to urgent care/er if it's before my appointment.

Dh is testing me tonight. I have reverted back to the first trimester. I am ridiculously nauseous and have aversions to pretty much all food. He just told me I was being ridiculous and aversions are only in my head. He says it's all mind over matter. I just recently spent 48 throwing up everything that went into my mouth so pardon me if I'm not really feeling all of the food right now. In all reality this needs to go. I've lost 4 pounds in the last 4 days. Mostly fluid I think. I'm trying my best to stay hydrated!

  • Ugh, my belly is feeling huge and it's all sore too.  I'm trying to stay hydrated because that helps and I used some lotion today to help with the skin stretching, but ugh!!!  Then when the little guy moves around?  (all the time) It is not a picnic, but reassuring... 8 more weeks???
  • Just complaining here...I've got some weird pain on my left side up by my ribs and it's really annoying and keeping me from falling back to sleep. And of course it's just above where LO likes to hang out and punch me most, which definitely doesn't help...is it March yet? Ready to have this little man out in the world and in my arms instead of using my insides as fighting grounds!!

  • Today is one of those days I just can't wake up and my head is in a fog. Almost a headache but not quite. Anyone else feeling like this?

  • My belly has been so sore lately and I've been really tired. Slept good last night and got a full 9 hours but still woke up tired. An hour after waking a took an hour long nap. Thinking LO hit a growth spurt or something. Also getting mild period like cramps when I lay down. 9 more weeks.... Come on finish line!
  • @skruhmin I was most of the morning. I felt a little better once I forced myself off the couch to get some food.

  • I see my midwife tomorrow morning but I'm just wondering if you ladies have experienced this also...
Baby is very active! Yay! But she likes to hang out on one side in particular, it seems and so my belly is lopsided. Fine. But then it gets to the point of extremely uncomfortable, as if she's stretched out and I'm feeling her solid mass all the way around my side? When I touch the side of my body around my ribcage I can feel something there, like a leg or foot? Is that possible so far around me?

I've been feeling it since Christmas Eve which is when I also think she may of flipped, because that felt weird too :s
  • Okay question.  So we flew down to Florida for Christmas, and my body completely rejected the hot weather, I was swollen and had trouble sleeping, but that isn't my question, on Friday morning my calf cramped the worst I've ever experienced in my life it just wouldn't let go for like a minute, now I am so sore I can barely walk, normally my first thought wouldn't be a clot, but I did just recently fly down there and back yesterday.  It is now Monday it is not better, it is definitely worse, but I've been walking on it.  I do have an OB appointment on next Monday, I'm going to give it until Wednesday and if it isn't better at all possibly go to Urgent Care.  Has this happened to anyone else, it just feels like I pulled a muscle, but pulling a muscle while sleeping sounds insane to me.  Am I jumping the gun thinking it is a bigger issue than a pulled muscle?

Get it checked out, especially if the leg is swollen. That being said, I've had leg cramps like that, and definitely ended up with a few days of pain afterward (runner, here). So, it could also just be that. Water and more calcium, per my doctor's orders.

Thank you I talked with my cousin who is a nurse, and she also suggested I go in as a precautionary measure.  Ugh.

  • What is a hemorrhoid?

My tmi complaint of the week: I want to use the bathroom!!!! :( I keep eating lots of dairy to try and get something going on!!!

Also have been having lots of hip pains where it hurts to lay on my sides and sometimes sit in the car without having to constantly adjust myself. A coworker said sit on a pillow in the car and get another body pillow just to lay on. Idk what to do! I don't know if it could be work or the baby!
  • Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe excessive dairy can cause constipation, not relieve it. Try fruit, foods with fiber, water.

I just remembered (5 minutes ago) I am taking a vitamin ( for anemia) that makes it more difficult so the pharmacist reccomended a stool softener.... Lol she told me like 2 weeks ago it might happen when I started taking these vitamins. Ugh seriously have terrible short term memory! Thanks ladies!!
  • Alright ladies, have any of you actually had gallbladder problems while pregnant? This morning I had something that included all the hallmark signs of a gallbladder attack, complete with: rib pain, pain between shoulder blades, upper gi pain, vomiting, etc that lasted for a few hours. Now in the ER where I work pregnant women with these symptoms go straight upstairs to L&D, we don't touch them. Non-pregnant people get narcotic pain relief and either admitted to the hospital or discharged with prompt follow-up. Obviously I will call my OB if this keeps happening, in the meantime I was just wondering what you did for symptom relief until delivery? Thanks in advance!

Chucking 32oz of unfiltered apple juice always keeps me out of the ER. It also starts nasty diarrhea. The apple juice helps a ton with gall bladder issues.

  • I moved weird two nights ago and it felt like I pulled a muscle right under my sternum. Still sore.
  • This past week I have been sick with a terrible cold that my kids gave me. Normally I don't complain about colds but this one has me beyond frustrated. Tmi warning ⚠, every frigging time I cough I pee myself. I told DH and he said to just empty my bladder more often... Umm, duh DH. I still am dribbling pee even after I literally just got done going to the bathroom. He thinks it's funny because I have never had this issue before. But like I told him I am not in my 20's, this is baby 5 pregnancy #6, I'm in the 3Rd trimester and baby girl is super low. I feel like a 90 year old woman. Grrr!
  • @lindscnn1 I can empathize.  I caught a bad cough in the middle of my second trimester and have been losing control every time.  I just gave over and bought some Always for bladder leakage.  Helps a whole lot.  The cough subsided for a while and got better, but now it's back because of my horrible heartburn (yep, that's a thing...), so I haven't stopped wearing them.  I'm sure I'll need them after I have this kiddo too.  Oh well, better to be comfortable than wet and worrying :)
  • I was sick with a cold for a couple of weeks and a bad cough that has been hanging on 1+ week after that. It gets worse at night. .... And I pulled a muscle in my rib cage coughing today. I just want to cry. Moving is painful. Especially coughing!

  • @lindscnn1 I caught pneumonia during second tri and I peed so much from coughing it was ridiculous. Giant panty liners or poise pads are your only defense.

  • Holy hemorrhoid, Batman! I am in some considerable pain the last two days thanks to this lovely problem. I've tried so many home remedies to help, but they only seem to anger it more. I'm officially miserable :(

About twice now I've had severe charlie horses in the middle of the night. For the next few days the calf has been sore (mostly noticeable when stretching or walking up/down stairs.) Hope your pain is better!

Thank you, much better.  Because of flying I did wind up going to get it checked out to ensure it wasn't a clot.  It wasn't and it went away over the next few days.  I also heard drinking a glass of milk before bed helps so I've been increasing my milk intake a little bit. Thanks for checking in.

  • Ladies I feel for you because I got a bad flu from DD and every time I cough I pee.  It's so embarrassing that I don't even mention it to DH.  (TMI warning) Last night I came out of the shower and forgot to put liners in and I peed some much that it soaked through my PJ.  I had to run back into my room to change and DH had no clue what happened.  And the pressure from being congested is killing me...
  • @irenewslee Solidarity sistah.  My first pregnancy I had bronchitis so bad I resorted to sitting on cloth diaper inserts.... This time DH has been really nice about it and actually bought me some 'poise' type pads.

When I go to sleep at night, I'm not hungry. If I wake up before my alarm, it's usually around 4-4:30 and I'm so hungry that my stomach hurts so much that it makes me not want to eat anything...any suggestions on how to not be so hungry in the mornings or even foods/drinks that could calm my stomach enough to eat an actual breakfast? Or anything else helpful? I know ginger can help MS, not sure if it would help me in the mornings or not. :/

@CecilB93 I have the same problem. I'll have a slice of whole wheat toast or some crackers just to calm my tummy. After a while, it's easier for me to eat something more substantial.

@CecilB93 me too! Same issue. (Except I don't crawl out of bed before 7)
I'm always a bit nauseous and know it's because I haven't eaten in 8-10 hours.

I used to be able to hop out of bed and be ready to leave the house in 30 minutes or less.
Now, I have to allow an hour JUST to settle my tummy every morning.
    My ritual looks like this....

    Get up & pee
Take my B6 pill (for the nausea)
Let the dogs out to potty while slowly drinking an entire glass of milk or OJ.
Sit on the couch while the milk or OJ takes effect (what I'm currently doing)
After about an hour, I can eat first breakfast...which is the smallest meal of my day. (Usually something sweet because my blood sugar is always in the normal to low range and is always low in the morning. Toaster strudel, cinnamon roll, muffin, nutrigrain bar, fig newtons.....anything small and sweet.)
Then I go for my 3 mile walk at the REC center track. This takes me an hour to complete. By the time I get back, I'm ready for 2nd breakfast. Here's where I try to get some protein for the day. Eggs, bacon, sausage, whatever feels good at the time.
An hour or two later, it's time for lunch (my largest meal of the day). I've been known to stuff down an entire frozen pizza by myself. Here again though, I try to get protein. So I've been going for burgers or chicken sandwiches. I'm not a very healthy eater....but my doctor told me to get as much calcuim and protein as I can with the highest calories possible. So I've turned this body of mine into an eating machine. It's always a challenge since I'm NEVER hungry.

I honestly can't tell if what I've been seeing is just discharge or possibly small bits of my plug...I'm leaning more towards discharge. However, I googled it so I could see examples (just ew...but had to know) and some of the pics may have looked a little similar. I'm 32w3d, so I guess it's possible.
