August 2016 Moms

Hoping for positive thoughts for Monday!

I had a miscarriage at 5ish weeks in November and while I was tracking my ovulation to know when I was going to have another period I was able to get pregnant again. Things were going well for the first few days after I found out on our anniversary that I was expecting again. I was able to have blood drawn and my HCG was only 13 but I was only around 4 weeks so I wasn't too worried. I made an appointment with my OB for Tuesday the 22nd but I started bleeding on Sunday the 20th like a period and I didn't "feel pregnant" so I thought I miscarried again and called and told my dr so they got me in right away. He told me it sounded like another chemical pregnancy and so I should get another HCG draw to be sure my levels went back to 0 and to start progesterone, baby aspirin, and high dose folic acid when I became pregnant again.

He called me Tuesday morning to say my levels went from 13 to 44 in 3 days! My bleeding had almost stopped on Monday and was just spotting on Tuesday and Wednesday so I thought there's still a chance I could be pregnant. He started me on the supplements ASAP and sent me for another lab draw today. We'll know the results on Monday but since Wednesday or so I've been feeling pregnant again. Could it just be the progesterone? I'm hoping it isn't and that my levels did go up! I've had the sore breasts, nausea, and major fatigue (which I do think is the progesterone though) again. Here's hoping!

Re: Hoping for positive thoughts for Monday!

  • Good luck!!! I'm on progesterone and my nausea got a little worse, but nothing else. Hope it's all good news for you :)

  • Good luck!!!! Sounds like there is still hope :)
  • Sending lots of positive thoughts. I hope it is all good news.
  • The progesterone always seems to "amp up" my symptoms, but I have nothing but hope for you too! The range in HCG levels is so wide too that there could be a major rise in them today. Best of luck getting through the tomorrow & Monday!

  • I think progesterone for me just makes my boobs more sore and I'm more bloated but I had all those symptoms before too. It's really hard to tell if it actually does anything different for me. If your numbers are going up that's a good sign, FX for you!

  • Thanks ladies!  I am hoping it was just a threatened miscarriage.  The bleeding and cramping was just like what one day of a period was like.  There was some small tissue pieces but no large clumps.  There was some spotting Monday and Tuesday but no heavy bleeding, cramping, or tissue.  I was curious and I took a hpt and it came back super light positive.  :/ I'm worried now about what this means I'm going to find out tomorrow.  Hoping it isn't a missed miscarriage.
  • Those are all positive signs! Hope to hear great news soon :)
  • Thanks! I had been optimistic all week until I took that hpt late last night.  Just hoping my urine was too diluted from drinking so much water from having this cold and from my HCG being on the lower side.  The hpt I took when I first found out was very light too.
