Hcg levels and hunger

Hi ladies! So i have a few questions. I've been pregnant once before but didn't are it very far at all. My levels got to 2200 and then went back down. I was 6 weeks pregnant. Now, I don't know how far along I am. I got a blood test done the 13th of November and my hcg was 2. I had blood work done this past Monday and my levels are 54,000. I have an US on Wednesday. I'm excited. Is this a normal range considering a month ago it was 2 and a negative pregnancy test? Also, I feel hungry every 2 to 3 hours. And have had horrible MS. Any tips or relation to any of this? Thank you!

Re: Hcg levels and hunger

  • No one here will know this. What does the doctor say? I'd listen to them instead and wait for the ultrasound.

^Normal hCG by week.  If your doctor was concerned, they would have said something.

As far as morning sickness, the search function on here will give you much more than I ever could, it's been asked so many time and so many people have given great responses.
  • Thank you, I liked your feedback much more than the other persons. I appreciate it.

Hcg ranges are rather large and you can't compare to others. Ask for a copy of your lab result and look at the ranges.
As far as being hungry every few hours who knows ? Could be pregnancy or you need to drink more water.
When you are thirsty sometimes its easy to confuse that with being hungry. Drink a glass of water and if you are still hungry after then you are legit needing food/ nutrients not hydration. ( my doc tells patients this)
Also use the search function and you will see there are many women who are going through the same stuff.

@Bigboobsmcgee feedback was just as solid as the second poster. Only a doctor can answer many questions that are asked on here.

It is better to refer to a doctor than give potential false hope to an excited mom.

This. I'm not sure what exactly was wrong with my post but whatever. Perhaps people can't take me seriously with Big Ang as my avatar.....
  • I just dont like how she said no one on here will know anything. She should only speak for herself. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion therefore I wouldn't be the one making frienimies. That'd be their own chose to take offense to what I say. I only ask to see if maybe some one has experienced it. I'm not looking for medical answers.

You kind of were looking for medical answers when in your original post you said "is this normal range considering a month ago it was 2 and a negative pregnancy test?

Like @jonesl12 said "normal" is relative because everyone's hcg levels are different--which I'm assuming why @Bigboobsmcgee said no one would know, you would need to speak to a doctor, because everyone's experience would be different.

That being said, I hope you since have received good news from your doctor about your levels and possible pregnancy!

You did ask for medical answers re your hcg levels. @Bigboobsmcgee was correct in saying no one here would know this. People can give you the average range of levels but so can a Google search. You're not going to find out anything more here than what your doctor says.
I'm totally on board with @jonesl12 and @Sgoldberg247 re using search function for morning sickness queries. It gets asked a lot.
    Good luck.
