CD 43 no af and still BFN! Help please!

Merry Christmas ladies and congratulation on your pregnancies! so I'm in a strange place I have had one cycle since mc and i should have had my 2nd cycle this month but I'm now on CD 43, I have been testing but just getting BFN....was this something any of you experienced? or did any of you have a very very late BFP? I have spoke with my midwife and we will go in for blood work if nothing changes by the 4th of January...any advice would be appreciated...need your prayers for a miracle please.

Are you temping? Do you know if you ovulated? Cycles can take a while to regulate post loss. It is normal to have longer than usual cycles, anovulatory cycles, etc. for a cycle or two or three. I'd recommend reading Taking Charge of your Fertility and temping, checking CM, using OPKs to follow byour cycle. This way you will know if you've ovulated or if you're having a longer or anovulatory cycle.

I just started temping so not long enough to see a pattern, but I have been logging CM and experienced ovulation pain..so based on those two I feel I did ovulate but then again my body could be playing cruel tricks on me

I had a really long cycle after my last mc and I was sure I wasn't going to ovulate, but my doctor assured me that my body was just waiting for my brain to signal to ovulate and my brain was just being a little slow sending the message. Sure enough, after a 47 day long cycle I found out I was pregnant. My first loss though I also had a really long cycle with not sign of ovulating so the doctor gave me progesterone to Kickstart a 'false' period so my body could try again to ovulate. My first AF after my D&C was 42days. The next was 41 days then I had a regular cycle and became pregnant on that one. I agree with the poster about temping, I found that it kept me sane with cycles that weren't quite regular, I could plan for AF which was great.

I got to see a heartbeat on monday! It was amazing, it has been a rough year for me so to see that flicker made me cry with excitement. I go back on jan. 12 to get to hear the heartbeat

I'm on CD 55 now still getting BFN. i do have a Dr appt on monday the 11th for blood work so well will see what happens.

Okay, as weird as it sounds keep us posted!! They can always give you something to jump start your period, but I think that is after 75 or 90 days without it. I can't remember the number.

I had a D&C for a mmc on Halloween 2014. I thought I had a period a month later but it was light, then a few months of being all over the place. Finally, in March, things settled down and went back to normal. I got pregnant again in May and had an early mc in June but my periods regulated again quickly after that, probably because it had been so early.

@bntfroggie I will keep you posted and yea I've looked into the meds they can use to jump start the cycle and would rather not use it if thats possible so I'm still holding out hope something just happens on its own.

@alitria I mc Oct 5th naturally (@12w) and had a period in November it was a little wonky but pretty normal considering what my body just went through so this second cycle has really thrown me for a loop hope we get some answers on Monday

Woohoo that is amazing news. Yay hopefully things will regulate for you. It wasn't until my cycle returned to its normal length that we got pregnant again. I know what has no correlation with anything else, just thought I'd share.

So glad AF returned on her own for you. That waiting can be so frustrating. Mine took 14 weeks to return post D&C and I also didn't want to have to take the meds, she returned just in the knick of time! Hopefully things get back to normal for you soon! Warning my second after not having one for a long time was the heaviest I had ever experienced, wasn't prepared for that as I typically have very light periods. Hope you join us here soon now that AF has returned!!!

@crob5685 thanks for the warning but this was my second cycle my first cycle was 5 weeks after the mc so i didn't expect the second to be so crazy. Yes i am just happy af is here, its ironic really

My first two cycles were both around the same length, but the temps the second cycle were crazy. My third cycle was completely back to normal. I hope yours is, too.
