Membrane sweep--painful.

I am now 39 weeks and 4 days. My cervix is soft but closed. They tried the membrane sweep but could barely get in there. It was extremely painful and I bled after. Ever since, I have been having sharp pains in my cervix. Is that normal?

    With my first, my Dr said let's sweep your membrains. And I shrugged and said ok. I was 19 and what did I know? So he did it and I thought I was going to jump through the roof. Even all these years later I remember that pain. If offered aga I n, I'd say NO THANKS. I'm not in a hurry these days
