Wonder weeks!

LO is overall a pretty easy baby so I can't exactly complain. Our biggest struggle has been independent night sleeping which we are currently working on. But everytime we hit a patch of success it's immediately followed by a set back to which I hear or read is because of a "wonder week". And from what I read no matter what development they go through for that week what they want in return is cuddling and to be held. What's crazy to me is from the charts I've read there are about a gazillion wonder weeks. They come every two weeks or so! That's not a wonder week- that's life in general!!! Ok, crazy vent over.

Re: Wonder weeks!

  • Yea im so confused by the wunder weeks. Some of them last for weeks at a time too. Then you add in growth sputts and teething it just almost seems like your baby is never going to be happy or independent in your case. I have a pretty good baby so I try not to read to much into all that could be going on with our LOs

  • I wouldn't get too hung up on the wonder weeks. Growth spurts seem to really bring about a change sometimes (other times not really). There's are just so many changes in the first 6 months. I feel like I'm better off just taking it as it comes rather then constantly checking which week is a wonder week and which month to expect a growth spurt /sleep regression. There is no control haha.
  • Hey I posed awhile back, but will keep doing so.

Join me and 75 other moms on our own FB group of October 2015 moms. Its somewhat easier to keep track of. We still always as questions, give feed back, ask for advice and give it. The group has been open for awhile and there has been NO DRAMA which has been fantastic!! Shre your stories, ask questions and let us see pics of those cute babies! Hope to see you soon!
