Buy a 24 pack of water and keep a bottle on hand. Don't like drinking plain water add some crystal light for flavor. I would also buy some snacks to eat between meals that are healthy.
Last week I mixed some sparkling mineral water with some frozen juice concentrate (I tried cranberry) and it was really good! It also can pass as a non alcoholic sangria
I like PPs suggestions about flavouring your water. Another thing I do sometimes is make caffeine free tea like peppermint, especially if my stomach is upset.
Disclaimer to check with your doctor about herbal teas because I believe some are not recommended during pregnancy, although I don't actually know which!
I have a big cup with a straw and you would seriously be surprised what a difference the straw makes. I drink way more that way. Then to mix it up through out the day I drink flavored seltzer (no sugar or artificial sweeteners, just a light flavor), and a lot of tea. You can also flavor your water with cucumbers, lemons, limes, strawberries, etc.
Popsicles sound good right now! I've been thinking of making chicken noodle soup from scratch, so hopefully that would help. I was afraid to drink tea since it can be dehydrating. I've tried boost shakes too, but then saw they had 20g sugar! I'll try seltzer and flavorings with a straw to help too.
I usually have my favorite pack of sugar free gum on hand, chew some gum and drink the water and the water tastes like my favorite flavors. It helps me. I hate drinking a lot of anything.
Have you tried diffusing fruit in water? It sounds fancier than it is. Basically throw a handful of berries or sliced oranges or other fresh fruit into water and it'll taste like the fruit plus give you a reason to drink faster- so you can eat the fruit treat at the bottom. Cantaloupe strawberry and raspberry blueberry are my favorite. It works best with fruit you really want to get to.
Question for you ladies using Crystal light or other water flavors... my doctor told me to cut out any artificial sweeteners (which is basically in all of those types of mixes) did your doctors not mention anything about that? (Note my Dr. may also be more conservative, she has me using organic shampoos etc.)...
I use it mostly for water but it would also be good for flavored water or juice. Another good substitute for soda, if you're looking for something calorie-free are La Croix naturally flavored sparkling waters. The grapefruit and peach-pear are my favorite but they come in tons of different flavors. So delicious!

Create the flavors yourself using fresh fruits and herbs. Strawberry mint is yummy and so are different citrus fruits.
I agree about the tumbler, I have never been able to do flavored water or carbonated water. Having a tumbler with a straw (or even just a regular glass with a straw) has helped me SO much. I guzzle water now... The more you drink the more you will want, plus I now pee all the time which is an excuse to get up from my desk!
I second using fresh fruit in water. Orange slices and strawberries (not at the same time for me) are my favorites right now. Cucumber and lemon can also be very refreshing.
MsBeachNJ My doctor also told me to stay away from all artificial sweeteners...it's made it very difficult to keep sugar and caffeine intake low while having any variety in my liquids!
I eat a lot of what I call "hospital" ice- the kind (hard to find at a gas station, but some have crushed ice options), but the ice that is really soft to eat and munch on. Like what they give you at a hospital. I eat a lot of ice. I find it helps with my water intake a lot.
@MsBeachNJ I'm not sure what your OB's views are on stevia versus other sweeteners, but Crystal Light has a line of flavor packets made with stevia called Crystal Light Pure. True Lime also has an AMAZING cherry limeade made with stevia that tastes exactly like a Sonic cherry limeade. SO tasty.

I cut out all aspartame but still use Splenda/Sucralose which is safe for pregnancy (but many people feel that any artificial sweetener is bad.)
Crystal Light as an aspartame free version. I use a product called True Lemon which comes in a few different flavors and uses crystallized lemon, some sugar and stevia to sweeten in. It's delish!
The calorie smart boost shakes have way less sugar. If you want to try those. Pre pregnancy I didn't like them. But this pregnancy sweet stuff is way to sweet so they work great!
I went out and got a nice water bottle with a sports top that I love And I just keep it with me all the time! I also try to change it up, added some lemon to the water, thinking about adding some strawberries and cucumber. I also love coconut water and sparklie drinks!
I have had good luck with water and a splash of juice - this week it's grape. Enough to add some color and flavor. When I'm desperate at work I just chug 20oz, but I don't recommend that unless you want to pee every 10 minutes for the following 2 hours.
Re: Tricks for increasing fluid/water intake, especially during winter?!?
Great suggestions, thanks y'all
