I am pretty much using my registry as a way to keep a running tab on EVERYTHING we need- right down to nursery rug. I would never expect anyone to buy said rug or noise machine (as examples), so would it be weird to leave it on there? I don't want anyone thinking I am looking for gifts or asking to decorate my whole house. Whats the norm here? Should the registry be only for what you would ask for gifts, ie, toys, bedding, etc...
And
@ladysamlady, I blame YOU! I am obsessed with babylist now...

I have a dresser for the baby's room and a car booster seat for my DD on my registry right now. As I'm a STM, I'm only sharing the links with the grandparents but those two items are still there. Some might consider them odd but my mom actually bought the dresser.

Is it necessary to register at more than 1 place? I feel as though I got pretty much everything I needed at Target, but a few people were confused when I didn't have a second registry at BRU. Am I missing something?

@Aquinna82 - I only registered at Babies R Us the first time around. Some friends asked why I didn't have a 2nd (which I thought was a silly question to begin with) and I just told them BRU had everything on my list.
