Are rock n plays superior to other baby chairs? I have a feeling everyone will say yes just not sure how it's better. We have several bouncy chairs already from DD and wondering if it makes sense to buy a PNP. Thx.

It's good because it's snuggly, vibrates, rocks, is at an angle and I believe is approved for extended sleep periods.

Unlike, swings and chairs, RnPs are approved for sleeping devices. As one PP mentioned, there is a transition period from the RnP to the crib. RnPs are so small and inclined. Cribs are flat and feel massive to an infant. There are hacks, to help transition smoothly.

I agree that inclining the crib mattress (with towels, etc.) is an excellent alternative. While I have never done this in a bassinet, DD's mattress is still inclined due to the congestion she's had over the past week.
Edited because I'm having a time adding the picture of the incline.
